I think the lengthy setup process is sometimes a welcomed feature. Kids would want to spend as long as possible playing with a toy they love :)

What's in the canister?

Other than the change in height of 2 studs is there any actual difference between "transport mode" and "work mode" on the crane?

The whole point of the lifting it up by two studs is so you can do a full 360

plot twist: the outriggers are actually counterweights

Also btw the Land Rover is the biggest set I think from all of the others but I’m glad ur having a fun time like you did in the past

I want to buy this set for it to lift approximately 300 grams. In your opinion, would adding extra weights help in the lifting process, and if so, where would you place them? Edit: to your knowledge, would the parts with stickers on the A model correspond with the stickered parts on the B model? I’m not really familiar with technic so I want to know if I need to decide on which model to keep before applying the stickers.

Ahh that’s a shame, will probably pass on this one. Btw, after watching your reviews for years, I want to bring up something extremely trivial. I wonder if it makes sense to just standardize the box sizes into M-square (like this one), M, M-long, L, L-long, XL(flagships) and just go off that system since TLG uses only a half dozen box sizes in general for most larger sets. Perhaps that would offer more relevant info to the 1% of potential buyers who care about box size! The way you describe every large box as “big” gives the impression that there’s many different sizes of large boxes while in reality there’s only a half dozen variations if you don’t take thickness into account ;)

I thought this might be a fun play set but seeing as its lifting capabilities are next to nothing not so much.

Let down 100

A shame. I thought that the outriggers would at least be coupled, but even that is not the case. Seeing as they're only there for show, this feels like even more of a let down even when taking the MANUAL EVERYTHING into consideration. Will most certainly pass this one.

I feel like the Mobile crane is better for the same price

Seriously, why are you soo harsh on these sets! This thing looks awesome! Also I don't mind long setup times, I get out my Technic sets for an hour, not 5 minutes. and lots of functions makes it feel like there is alot of options. Like my mack anthem, that takes ages to park up, put the supports down, and start unloading, infact sometimes I use an l motor and battery box on the half stud at the ends of the gear controllers, as it makes it more fun with power functions. But when the main features of the sets are setting up and adjusting things like supports and winches, why are we complaining about it taking some time!

But you cant make a remote controlled Ford 150 or Bentley Bentayga or the Rolls Royce cullinan Lego: It takes time. People: tool you guys no time to make another remote controlled excavator. You just skip a year. Lego: so we should make a crane next People: bruh

so many Crane, dont we have Cranes enough? come on, technic its always same the cars, the same cranes, give us something new, something different, like imagine if they made a set of those ''ball factories'' we see on youtube
