I just made this but I used frozen blackberries that I completely defrost and blended(juice and all) then strained. Then added sugar and the liquid along with lime juice in a pot and reduced until very thick. Made blackberry swirls and it came out delicious! Thank you!
I needed to get rid of some blueberries that was starting to go bad and this recipe seemed easy and didn’t require any fancy equipments so I gave it a go this morning and it turned out fantastic!! Thank you for sharing! Will be making more of these 😃
Just made this. Just subbed out the yogurt with heavy cream because I didnt have yogurt or sour cream on hand. I also ran out of vanilla extract of all things and used almond extract. OMG this came out soooo good. The berries bursting inside the cake makes it so moist inside. I also really like it with the almond hit so think it was a good sub. Thank you! I was going to take it for a party tomorrow but my family jumped on it so guess I will have to make another haha. I bought your book because I love your recipes. Have yet to run into one I dont like! You are the best!
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I must appreciate you for using simple ingredients and utensils, it was so easy to follow for a beginner like me. Came out beautiful and everyone loved it! Wish YT allowed users to share pictures. Btw your hair looks gorgeous too!
I'm late but thanks so much for this recipe, see me and my church have this super strict competition every year, and one of the categories is baking, and I won FIRST PLACE (keep in mind theres hundreds of teenagers) like literally 10/10 for all three judges!!!
Hi Tatyana I made this immediately after seeing this video and boy! it turned out so good and my family loved them :) Keep the recipes coming. So glad I came across your videos ^-^
The recipe turned out great I used sour cream bc I did not have any yogurt also I add little extra flour because my lemon juice was a lot and should’ve baked like maybe 5 more min but either way turned out great lemony blueberry cake not so sweet as well which I like definitely will do it again thank you for the recipe
Bake at 350 for 25 min before checking with t pick. Continue as needed. These are very forgiving, smile, and to die for delish. I used 3 mini loaf pans.
hi tatyana..ive done this recipe except for blueberry as I dont have any but it was too sour or bitter due to too much of lemon juice...is there any remedy or anything I should do about it coz it feels so bad to just throw it..thanks
Omg Tatyana I just did your recipe with the buttermilk since I did not had Greek yogurt and it is Delicious 😋 thank you very much for your delicious recipes 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Tatyana ! I tried this and had to bake it for 40-45 mins at 350 F. Could you share how long it takes usually. My cakes come out delicious and moist ! Thanks :)
Do you know if you can make this with vegan eggs and butter? I'm trying to make something that everybody in the house can enjoy? This looks super delicious, thanks for the video.
Hi! Both great questions! I recommend thawing the berries beforehand, otherwise they will drop the temp of the batter. And you can absolutely use low-fat yogurt. Enjoy! :)
hii tatyana , i really love your videos ! i would love to try this recipe but the thing is i live in morocco and we don’t have blueberries so my question is : can i use other kind of berry with this recipe , or it’s not gonna work ? thank you so much for the effort you make , you’re so pretty and sweet ! keep up the good work
Wow. You make it look sooooo easy. Bless you. I also love that you did not use a mixer. I just wish I had a better look at the first batter (if that's how you call it), the first mixture of butter, sugar, and lemon juice and zest. I just started cooking last year and baking this July so it's baby steps for me. Hehehe. Will definitely make this one of these days. I love lemon and blueberries. Yum! Thanks again...
Hi! Please help - new baker here. When I made this, I used frozen blueberries. The cake LOOKED delicious but the blueberries made a sort of mush at the bottom and made the batter too moist. My batter wasn’t as thick as yours, is that why? I have tried twice now and can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong 🥺
Hi! Oh, no! Sorry that the recipe didn't turn out perfectly for you. If you're using frozen blueberries, make sure to thaw them completely first. Don't add them while they're frozen. Also, add about a tablespoon of cornstarch to the berries; this will help suspend the berries in the batter so they don't sink down. You can also layer them into the loaf pan instead of folding them into the batter. Hope that helps!
Hi Tatiyana, I have some questions to ask. Could you please reply me. 1. I have Blueberry topping can. Can I use it instead of Fresh blueberries? Here we don’t have fresh. 2. My loaf pan is 5.5*9 size. Can I use my one for your recipe?? 3. If I need more lemon flavor shall I add extra lemon juice n zest ? Thank u Tatiyana
Hi! This is one of my favorites! I personally haven't this recipe with topping. Is it in a heavy syrup? If you can drain the syrup, that would be better. Yes, that pan size will work great, too. I recommend adding lemon zest for more lemon flavor. Enjoy! :)
@@TatyanasEverydayFood It’s not kind of heavy syrup. It has a running effect . Lighter than ganache. I will definitely try this and let you know. Thank you Tatiyana. Please do *Coffee Soufflé* . Take care
Hi Al! I'm so sorry the recipe isn't working for you. When you add in the flour, are you mixing for a long time? Make sure to mix the flour in just until it's incorporated. Overmixing the flour can cause the batter to be too heavy and then the bread won't rise.
Hello! I want to try this recipe and I have everything in my pantry now but yogurt. Is there a substitute for this or will it be okay for me to skip it? 😊
