Aww yay! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the lemon curd and found it easy to make :D if you manage to find a spare minute I'd be so so grateful if you can kindly leave a review on my blog, it really helps my content reach more people :) thanks so much again for trying the recipe! :D
I hope everyone knows that this is the best ever recipe for lemon curd. This is not my opinion. It is science. I have seen countless other recipes that call for only whole eggs. This is a mistake. Yolks thicken while whites set. The whites are also the part that gives that "eggy" flavour. The right ratio of whole eggs to egg yolks will not only avoid the eggy taste but will give you something that is just the right amount of set and thick. MK is the most underrated baking channel on RU-vid.
I added half a cup of cream to balance the intense acidity of lemons. I think amount of lemon juice should be adjusted according to the acidity in lemons
So so happy to hear you enjoyed the recipe Alan! :D If you manage to find a spare minute I'd be so so grateful if you kindly leave a review on my blog, it really helps my content reach more people :D thanks so much again for trying the recipe :)
I'm very new to your channel. but have caught up with your arthritis issues. I, too, have arthritis and I am thrilled to see how you are taking care of yourself as you go about your job! You are a great teacher and videographer (and cook!), and I can ditto all the lovely comments your fans have left you.
Hi Sandra! Thank you so much for your lovely comment it really means a lot :D I'm sorry to hear about your arthritis too! It definitely took some adjusting for me and I'm still figuring out ways to make it easier on my body, but am slowly getting there. Thank you so much for your love and support and wishing you ease with your arthritis :)
Thank you for the awesome video. Lemon curd is my favourite cake filling, but I always use storebought. Your video makes it look very easy to make, and I'm definitely gonna try it. Thanks again. Love from Zimbabwe
Wonderful, thank you. For arthritis try two drops of CBD oil under your tongue every day. The psychoactive part of the plant has been taken out by the way so there is no reason religiously not to take this. It's like alcohol free beer but with many health benefits.
Hi MK I wish you feel better now toward your health issue❤️ What kind of pots are best? Is stainless steel good for this purpose? Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Greetings from Clovis, California USA 🇺🇸. You are so fun to watch. I really enjoy your channel and am praying that you're feeling well. Take care of yourself and thank you for the great videos.
Thank you so much for your wonderful message! :D so happy to hear you're enjoying the content and really appreciate all the love and support. Much love from NZ to California :D
As I was watching this tutorial on lemon curd, I had a thought…what if you used a lemon reamer to juice the lemons instead? It might be easier on your hands✋🏼❤️🤚🏼Thank you for sharing your amazing gift and art with the rest of the world!! Love from Florida, U.S.A.!❤️☮️
I hope you are feeling better! I have been a licensed massage therapist for 28 years, and I work with many people who have autoimmune issues. I know that the joint pain and fatigue can be unbearable, and just trying to get through each day is so physically and emotionally exhausting. I have also been a cake baker and decorator for 35+ years and I know firsthand how much demand is put on your hands, especially when piping and decorating. I hope that whatever course of treatment you are on is helping you to live your life as comfortably and as well as you can! I know how important your RU-vid channel is to you, as you have affected so many of us in such an amazing and positive way with your wonderful tutorials and ideas. But the most important thing is for you to take care of YOU. Everything else can wait a while. May God bless you on your journey!❤️🌻☮️
Awesome! So happy to hear you enjoyed it Charlene :D if you manage to find a spare minute I'd be so so grateful if you can kindly leave a review on my blog, it really helps my content reach more people :) thanks so much again for trying the recipe :D
I was so excited to try lemon curd and I made it with the finest ingredients (not this recipe) but unfortunately it tasted like you said metallic 😭 I was so so disappointed, I throw away all the batch, I don't know waht to use to cook it in, all my sauce pans are made of metal 😭
You with the egg mishaps just brightened what was a depressing morning. I admire how you don't let a painful illness stop you from doing what you love. I love lemons but don't ever remember having it as a curd. Is it the same as the filling in a lemon meringue pie? Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Haha awww I'm glad it cheered you up :) :) and I'm not too sure if this is the typical filling for lemon meringue pie but you can definitely use it for that :D
I watched about 10 recipes of lemon curd and i became confused, because some people put starch and others do not. Is there a difference when starch is added or not? All the results look the same.
Hi there! A traditional lemon curd uses egg yolks, but you can also make a just as delicious (if not more delicious) lemon curd without egg yolks using cornstarch :) I actually prefer the cornstarch version better (I also have a recipe for it on my channel) because it has less of a distinct after taste because there aren't any eggs in it, but it really just depends on your dietary requirements and what you prefer :)
@@CakesbyMK thank you for your answer. I made my lemon courd with eggs and starch. I was a bit lazy 😉 to seperate the yolk from the white, but the result was nice.
Heya! I unfortunately don't have a direct substitute for this recipe but I am going to be putting out an eggless lemon curd recipe soon so keep an eye out for that :D
Yayy so so happy to hear that Situmbeko :D If you manage to find a spare minute I'd be so happy if you can kindly leave a review for this recipe on my blog :D thanks so much!
