In today's video, Hoyt makes a delicious lemon icebox pie. This easy to prepare recipe can be made in advance and kept chilled for when you need to serve guests fast.
Mr Hoyt, You were right and she was right too, I've had it both ways: You can do as you did or omit the cool whip in the pie and serve cool whip on top AFTER pie has chilled and set. It's a win either way! Enjoying your videos . Debbie from Lawrenceburg, KY
God bless both of y'all you did a wonderful job I appreciate you coming on this channel I'm so glad I found child you know I'm from Kentucky I love it down there
FYI: I wouldn't use that citric acid stuff. You can get real lemon juice that is healthier. The "Santa Cruz" Brand is sold at Walmart's, or you can probably find some at Trader Joe's, but that stuff you're using is bad stuff. I might just take the easy way out and just make some instant lemon pudding, or any two flavors of pudding would work just fine. (For an ice box cake/pie) Yes, the cool whip would be FOLDED into the bowl. Miss Suzie is correct. LOL Yes, this is exactly like KOOL AID PIE, but you substituted with citric acid; instead of the KOOL AID. Sure wish you had refrigerated it, and then showed us a piece cut out/taste test.
