Lemon Ice Box Pie 1/2 to 3/4 cup lemon juice (approx 3 to 4 lemons) 3 large eggs 14oz sweetened condensed milk 1 box of Nilla Wafers 1 tablespoon vanilla 4 tablespoons sugar
My mama used to make this in the summer time . She has passed away 7 years now- , and I am so glad to have found this recipe. She never wrote her recipes down . And being as young as we were back when she made it - I just always thought she would be here to make it …. Thank you 😊 for sharing ! ❤️
I made this for Easter for a large family gathering. I called it Lemon Merengue Pie so people would understand what it was. I also made a Key Lime Pie. This pie was a huge hit! People came from other parts of the house and yard because they heard about this pie. Every bite was eaten and all I got was a clean pie plate to take home. This is a winner! Thanks!
My Mom made the crust with Graham Crackers. That's the way my Dad loved her version of àb Ice Box pie. Happy Easter to you and Joe, and all your family.
Love the name "cruncher-upper thingy" for the food chopper! Sounds like a true southern girl. Still waiting for the recipe for Joe's meat loaf!! Happy New Year, Melissa!!
I could have swore I made that video, something must have gone wrong with the recording of it and we had to toss the video :( I can remember doing that. Oh well, just another reason to make another meatloaf...lol I can't tell you how many videos we have to toss because I am a horrible videoer
We've missed the cooking segments, wrote the recipe down as I watched, so easy..the kids wanted to know if Zander had been to the farm is winter and can we make your pie for New Years with a dramatic "pleasssseee"..
Oh I forgot yo reply, after I made your version of Ice Box Pie. DELICIOUS!!! I still prefer the Gram Cracker shell. But that's just me. There is also a version of using Dark Oreo cookie crust and Oreo crust. I may try that one. Please share your recipe for Volcanic Cupcakes. Another of my Dad's Favorites.
Hi Melissa, that is such a pretty pie/dessert!My son in law loves anything lemon so I can’t wait to make this.Thank you for always posting the recipe for us!I don’t think there is anything you can’t do!Love your channel.👏😊👍Have a wonderful happy New Year!!
Joe is a lucky guy! Keep doing your thing here! This looks really good, my wife is going to make this for our New Year's Eve dessert. I picked up all of the ingredients for her. Do you folks ever have eggs freeze in the chicken coop? Even with heat lamps, have to collect them quick. They aren't laying as many anyway with the colder weather. Thanks for the video and recipe! 🖐🏻😎
Wow, that looked good. Yeah those were obviously not home grown eggs but what can you do? Some foods just need to be made the "right" way! You certainly must have enjoyed it. Happy New Year!
I did so much for Christmas dinner it would have taken too long to video a taste test for everything. We will get back to the taste testing once everything settles down. I made him his very own cheesecake...lol Thanks for watching!
There is a pinned post with measurements of everything in comments. I believe it was 14.5 oz and you bake it just until the peaks turn brown...maybe 10 to 15 min
I tried a funky 1950's version with jello for a key lime and it was a disaster. Followed that recipe to the T and it was horrible. I can't imagine what 1950's and 1960's dad's had to try to swallow down. As a child I loved jello but it does not go in everything. I should have done this version for key lime except you were doing lemon but same. I can't recommend 1950's cookbooks. Just look at that for nostalgia and don't cook it.
