I am sitting here with tears streaming down my cheeks; yet smiling. It was just like old homeweek and I was a little girl growing up in the South, trying to help my Gran cook or bake in her big white kitchen. Everything smelled more delicious then, it all tasted better and with a big glass of ice tea, or cup of coffee for Gran, we'd go out on the front porch for a spell...I was happy as a lark. It was heaven...I grew up with good folks just like you and your husband and I am so lonely for those long ago days; you all brought them back for a few minutes, thank you so. Well, I grew up, thought I wanted to get out in the world, my Daddy told me, " Baby Sis, be careful of going over the hill and far away." Why don't we ever listen? I have a wonderful life; and do not mean to complain. I live I Europe and have traveled the world...but something is missing; I feel it when I'm in a group of people, or late at night in bed...I carry it with me all the time. When it gets so lonely and the memories are so strong; I close my eyes and put on some music and imagine I am that little girl again...and I feel happy...because in my mind, I go home. Thank you, and God Bless you both🙏💝
I very often think of my Granny and my Mama while I'm in the kitchen. I grew up in the kitchen with both and I learned so much from both of them. I think I mostly learned my love of cooking from my Granny and my love of southern food and eating from my Mama. I lost my Daddy when he was 50 and boy did he love to eat what my Mama cooked. His favorite I think was her pot roast with carrots and potatoes. He was a little man but he could put away the food. I hope you will stay with my family and be a part of us. You will not be alone while we are here. All of our love and we will think of you each day and pray together. Loves and hugs...🧡🧡🧡
I love the gifts you received from your family for Mother's day. I especially love that egg board. How pretty that would look on a buffet. Along with that lemon lush of course, on the dessert end. Thanks for sharing, Karen and y'all have a Blessed day.
Another "delush"dessert ! Only an experienced cook would know to save crumbs for decorating.Pop Jones magically appeared at the proper time..And my Patchy was there but ... 🥰🐈⬛
Lemon is my favorite 🥰 Thanks for the recipe - I may make this for brunch on Sunday. You had a great idea using the lemon slices on the top. I think I'll do that to mine! Too bad we can't share pictures on here or I'd send you my finished Lemon Lush!! Thanks Karen!!🍋
Hello. Patches is such a pretty kitty. She knows how to communicate with you guys. I'm sure going to make this one. It's a perfect Arizona desert for the dessert. It's too hot already. Have a great night.
Hi I am new to your channel and I really enjoyed watching u today. I like the way u explained everything for this recipe. I can't wait to try it. I am very happy to continue to watch your channel it was my pleasure. Have a great day and I will continue to watch. Thank u
Oh my more lemon ! My entire family loves lemon anything and this will make the list ! I made it ! But I cut the cookies in half I’m type 1 diabetes and I love sweets ! And I don’t think half the cookie crust hurt any thing . And I only used 2/3 the lemon pudding . And used sugar free whipping cream . And it’s dreamy ! My mother made a lemon puff pie we only had on thanksgiving it was always the first two pies too be gone then the pumpkin pies then the mince ,meat .
I love anything lemon!!! This will be wonderful for my church and home community room suppers!! Thank You!! Love that beautiful bowl from your family. My brother made each of us siblings a wooden bowl like that from the fallen trees in his back yard. I use it to keep my keys in when I am home. 16:30
Love lemon anything, can't wait to try the recipe. So glad to see that you don't waste any ingredients. I hate watching the cooking shows when they don't clean out their bowls, such a waste!
I try to stay away from sugar, but lemon is my favorite, so I can’t stay away from this. Cream cheese in the place of cool whip is really nice, This is a big hit. God bless
I make lemon lush too. Love it. I make it with chocolate and vanilla pudding too. Chocolate one was originally called Almost as good as Robert Redford! Now we call it Almost as good as Brad Pitt or fill in your favorite celeb! Haha
I have made this desert juicing one lemon into cream cheese mixture and then zest one lemon between the cream cheese and pudding layers. Great summer desert for your picnics.
This does look good Karen - with the lemon flavoring it would be refreshing on a warm day. A good switch up that came to mind is to use some chocolate pudding and maybe a bit of cocoa in the base for the chocolate lovers....toasted coconut added to the base and coconut pudding and also sprinkled on top. A very versatile dessert. Thanks for sharing.
Oh yeah! It's definitely gonna be good if it's lemon. And I agree with your hubby ... you can have one piece the rest is mine! haha Love you guys >^..^
I love your gifts....I like wooden anything....cedar is my wood of choice....it smells so good. I've never seen an egg board like that....how cool. That pie looks so refreshing....lemon is perfect for this time of year. I love an easy dessert and this one looks perfect....thanks Karen. I bet Miss patchy was happy to get back home with y'all. I hope your Mother's Day was perfect Karen. We gotta keep pop Jones fed so y'all subscribe if ya haven't already...lol. Love, Hugs and Blessings.
I'm not sure who was happier to see who, us or Miss Patchy. The egg board is beautiful. I have never seen anything like it before. Leave it to Keri to find something unique. I love it. I hope you had an amazing Mothers Day as well. 💖

All I can think of would be the lemon uice and or milk. Did you let it set up in the refrigerator for a few hours? Get the filling thick first. I saw someone on RU-vid that didn't do that and hers was not thick like mine.
everything was just the way you made it except the cookies and the butter was alot moister than yours, i think i will use the graham crackers. thanks alot. i will get it right. you explain things so much simpler than others. thats why i used yours. have a great dat andvmay God bless you.
