I was lucky enough to see him do this trick at a party in Los Angeles in the early 2000s. I was sitting right next to him and watched him repeatedly make the cards in front of him disappear. It was one of the most amazing things I had ever seen.
This is a part of his "Laser trick". It is interesting not because of the snap deal, but where did he ditch the cards from his right hand?? I cannot see the ditch!
u can see the takes the card with his 2nd finger, but serve with his middle finger, thus hiding the cards behind his palm and discarding it .. very well played sleight of hand
It's because he only discards them at the end. It's called a snap deal because the snap sound is made when his thumb retracts the card back and he catches the card with his middle or ring finger in a lateral palm or lateral pinch... basically similar to a tenkai palm but not so far back. Then after palming all the cards of in this way, he discards them at the end which you can clearly see him make the hand gesture when he does it.
I'm betting they have some kind of tether that pulls them under the table. He fucking attached it right in front of everyone. The dude with the mic is in on it and sees what's going on, but the camera and audience doesn't.
