If anyone is confused! Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3i (intel) supports 2933mhz RAM Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 (AMD) supports 3200mhz RAM If you added 3200mhz RAM to Intel Variant both ram sticks will run on 2933mhz so save your money and get a 2933mhz RAM for Intel Variant. Similarly on adding 2933mhz stick to AMD Variant both ram sticks will run 2933mhz so buy 3200mhz for AMD Variant. Maximum RAM Support for both Variants is 2 × 8gb = 16gb in Dual Channel Hope this Helps!

The max frequency supported by the prosessor is 2933mhz so u can't use full 3200mhz even if u change both the Ram sticks.

No disadvantage but you don't need 32gb on mid end laptop/machine. Of you own a powerful specs machine 32gb is justified for it

In build one is hyniks I have purchased crucial 3200mhz. Because 8gb crucial ram was for 4000rs and hyniks 8gb ram was for 6000rs. Most of the times brand doesn't matter we should focus on the clock speed

Is it better to add 2666Mhz with CL19 (because the current 8GB RAM has 2933Mhz and CL19) or 3200Mhz with CL22? Because if you see the combined performance of "Mhz-CL", actually the 2666mhz has faster transfer speed than 3200mhz.

I saw on the internet that my memory was 3200 and cpu z But 2933 un task manager so I just bought the same model (I think) of 3200 why did I see that people had problems having different latencies (very strange why when seeing ram models they never put it, I just hope it's the laptop that for some reason low mhz But still it was annoying to see that no ram currently had cl of 22

Check the motherboard compatibility... If mother board supports only 8gb. And if you extend upto 12 (8+4) mother board will crash and start giving problem

You can go with 2933mhz or 3200mhz. You mother will consider the ram frequency which is lowest among the 2 ram sticks. Talking about warranty. Warranty will not be void if your upgrade the ram, but if you damage any other component while changing ram will definitely void the warranty

Yes its fine to purchase 3200mhz Lenovo IdeaPad gaming3 motherboard supports ram frequency upto 3200mhz. In my case one ram stick is 8gb 2933 and one 8gb 3200mhz ... So the final output is 16gb dual channel 2933mhz. If I use both ram of 3200mhz then it will be 16gb dual channel 3200mhz. Hope I clearified. If not, please let me know.

I have purchased the same laptop a couple of weeks back (during the festival offer season). So far I am happy with it but would like to increase the 512 SSD that came with the laptop with another 512 GB SSD. Do you know if 2080 sized SSD is compatible with this model? Also I am a little worried about the headphone port because I use simple earphones for my classes and change them to headphones. so, often use the port. I am worried about the quality of it. Did you have any issue with it? Also, is 16 GB the max Ram that we can upgrade to? Thanks.
