Lenovo Yoga 720-13IKB 80X6 81C3 LED LCD Touch Screen Digitizer Display Replacement Procedure 

I bought the screen replacement from FirstLCD and used this video guide because I cracked my screen. The LCD came in bubble wrap in the styrofoam container that's 1" inch thick on each side. Shipping was about 6 days to the Northeast US. Screen was in good condition. I recommend having the following items: T5 Torx screwdriver, Phillips 00 screwdriver, double-sided adhesive tape. I had to buy the tape from Amazon which is a red acrylic tape (4mm x 25M Clear Double Sided Strong Adhesive Acrylic Tape for Mobile Phone Laptop Tablets Camera LCD Screen). Tips: 1) If you want to preserve the old LCD screen, when removing the plastic tabs at the bottom of the screen (3:04 in the video) I would only pry from the left, right and bottom. If you do the top between the LCD and plastic tab, you're likely to crack the screen. Luckily for me, my old screen was already cracked so I didn't care if I caused more cracks :) 2) Pay attention to the cable layout on the left side below the middle plastic tab. When reassembling, I had trouble with the black/gray cables slightly bulging out so it doesn't look as nice. I wasn't able fix it on my end. Try to see how flat it lays, maybe take a picture for reference. Thanks to the video, my new display replacement from FirstLCD works well. I can't comment on the touch screen digitizer because that died shortly after I cracked my old screen and the problem still carried over to the replacement screen. Seems like a common problem on the Lenovo forums, possible a driver issue.. If anyone have any ideas to fix it, let me know!

I have followed instructions to remove the screen, which are great. What I din't understand is why both plates have to be removed. The replacement screen I bought has a slightly different looking smaller board (beneath the speaker one) and although connections look the identical, the boards themselves don't Shall I also swap the second board, or do I have a wrong replacement screen? I've messaged supplier in China but need an urgent reply. I have taken a photo showing the.two but is there some way I can attach that?

can the screen be replaced along with the frame?
