Everyone accuses Leo Whitefang of being a "gorilla" and this stance is one of the reasons why, so in this video lets go over just exactly what this crazy stance is all about, including fun things like stance canceling to be plus on block whenever you want!
You can't enter BT stance with a HS hold anymore ? I feel like they changed a lot of characters to make them more "fair", but some are being a little more "faired" than others, Chipp, for example, lost the teleports, and that's pretty sad :'(
This will be the last of the Strive mini guides for now as the beta finally shuts down early tomorrow morning. Will be a few more videos including some of my gameplay and time from the beta, some overall thoughts on the whole experience, and maybe a silly vid or two unrelated to tech or anything like that and then things resume back to normal. Early next month we are very likely getting our first real look at SSJ4 gogeta, we got SFV season V, and who knows what else!?
@Sammy after beta ends I can rest a bit. But when sun is shining thats when you gotta get the hay right? Channel views last few days highest they've been in months.
With the Brynhildr stance, Lion man shows his true form, Gorilla man! 🦍 If I may, I wanna note that if his qcf+HS move does not cross-up, then it will not enter the back turn stance!
That stance cancel heavy slash on block trick is going to be my new favorite frame trap! 😲 2k into 6k is an easy confirm and can be special canceled into pretty much imagination!
Thanks for all the videos you do roof is so easy to understand glad I found you from early dbfz I already knew this for leo but it's still great to see can't wait for a faust breakdown lol
Definitely sticking with Leo upon launch. Gotta represent my Lion boy (even if he's more gorrila lol) I did not know most of his stance stuff was plush on block.
Oh the cross-up move is plus? Holy hell. I was mashing after doing it and I just thought people were scared and presses buttons late. That stance cancelling shit gave ne several ideas, though. I hope they don't nerf Leo by the time the retail version comes out.
played leo during the beta and had some mirror matches too, can confirm we never use the quarter circle triangle dash, if monkey is running just jab or slash and you can finally get a turn, if you are feeling bold you can also block and assert dominance that way
Just be aware that an experienced opponent can grab you out of the cross up dash. But having a command grab with his high/low mixups makes Leo worth it for me
Great guide, but I recommend putting the song names in the description, even if they might be obvious. It would be very helpful for those who don't recognize them!
Beta is over in a few hours so no more time for guides/capture for guides really. But come the launch of the game don't worry as I will have tons of combos/guides/tech and all that for everything
This character is obnoxious cuz I always react to the crossup lunge like it's a lariat before my brain can remind me it's crossing up and then the one time I remember to look for crossup it gets done at a range that makes it same side and I get bopped again smh
More guides when launch happens. Beta ends after tonight so basically I just don't got enough time. WIll be covered in full in every possible aspect come launch though no worries
For this game specifically I use an arcade stick, that said however playing on pad is 100% equally as viable and valid. I default to arcade stick all things being equal cause im old and grew up in the arcades but thats about it.
