And well, canonically he was the one who took care of Sherry after Racoon City, before they both were taken away and separated by government. Claire left them both to continue searching for her brother
@@bitteryetcivilized257 Dude, same. It bothers me the amount of people I've seen that use it as an example of the game's "bad dialogue" just because they missed that it was a direct response to Salazar calling Leon brethren. It's a perfect cheesy comeback and I never get tired of hearing it.
I like his personality a lot in 4 - the voice really sells him as having been through this too many times already. He sounds so dead inside in 6, though
the progression of leon's voice works absurdly well now from paul to... well, paul... to matt. sounds like he guzzled whiskey between each ptsd-inducing adventure
Agreed although I’d wish they let Nick apostolides do a more deep raspy voice for the Leon in RE Infinite Darkness and the RE 4 remake for the remake of the second game he was Ok a young rookie cop in his 20s at the beginning of all a little too green and naive compared to the OG Paul Haddad Leon in RE 2 but was okay, the Leon on RE Infinite Darkness though….sounds a lot moire young to my taste not that he done bad but Leon supposed to be in his early 30s just after Spain and Harvardville, still appreciated the similar Matt Mercer Leon voice tone Nick gave it
@@7_Siete Thanks for the replay, RE 4 is a game I’d really like and enjoy back on my Nintendo Wii and when I’d have the remastered version for the Xbox One I played it too so I’m glad that the remake will try to improve the game experience of this legendary 2005 og videogame even though the RE 3 remake had a lot of content removed as well the remake of the second game were decent overall and the fact that they are going to incorporate elements of the 3.5 demo had me curious
@@batmanbeyond5766 Character design was also strong in this game, same wirh the Mercenaries mode. It was a terrible RE game for those of us that like the classics ofc
I love the chaos in 3:24 and how intense Leon is surrounded by zombies with shaky cam and all, but in an absolute calmness in his voice says: "at least the wipers work" always cracks me up
Makes it even better when you realize Helena dragged leon halfway across city without telling any thing and when they open up the secret stairs this mf pops up
that casual lil' 'ok' just tells me that Leon is genuinely too tired to ask this woman why she has a sick child with her in the depths of a mid-destruction pharmaceutical facility.
The way he says “at least the wipers work.” In the calmest way possible always makes me laugh as well as the multiple times Leon has said “Women” I believe he started the “women☕️” meme no matter what anybody says
I can totally see some alternate universe where RE2 is an action/horror movie and Leon was played by Tom Cruise (something about these jokes gave me a vision)
@@felypinho020 I know! It shouldn't be hard to make a good resident evil movie with actually good casting, I don't understand how no one has managed to do it yet
I hope Jake appears again. I've played way too much RE6 for all the hate it gets (because I'm writing a story), but I really want to see what he becomes.
Leon is like the King of sarcasm and it's actually perfect for his character.. mix of seriousness and punchlines that can sound either epic or funny.. Also why didn't you add it when he said "Women"😂
@@roccoon9892 honestly, I never liked Ethan, but RE Village looks like fun so I plan to get it once they release the dlc for third person. Village is definetly better even if it still misses the mark as an RE game. Re7 is just... out of place.
@@7_Siete RE7 brings back the Resident Evil feeling after they got backlash from RE6. So no wonder why they went for a new series with RE vibes into it.
I love Ethan, though. They wanted to recapture the vibes of being thrust in a survival horror situation they had with the original RE, but all their characters were too trained and accustomed to it all, so they brought in someone who would react exactly as a normal person would, except for his drive to rescue his wife/find out what the f is going on, and the fact he sees Marguerite tentacely slink away and his first thought it "that's special". I love both.
"sounds more like an alien invasion if you ask me" still to this day one of my favorite lines in any resident evil game (edit) I've seen the new re4 remake trailer, and i swear to god if the alien invasion line doesn't make it, then the team behind the remake aren't real fans
Personally, I love Leon's voices for each game, they fit well their specific Leon. Except for Nick in Infinite Darkness and RE4R, he doesn't sound deep enough and it puts me off, it doesn't suit an older, mature Leon.
@@7_Siete exactly! Yes they all fit their respective ages and personally I think if they do eventually try to remake re6 bring back the same voice actor
@@7_Siete I don’t think they will remake 5 and 6 atleast not for a long time revelations would be pretty cool, they should really remake code Veronica tho I never got to play it sadly, I didn’t even know it existed until a few years after the Xbox one and PS4 released and by that time the systems it was on like the Xbox 360 for example the online services were already down so I couldn’t buy it from the App Store
I think so too, while RE3R was a letdown I think they were experimenting ans practising to nail a reinvention of RE4. Let's hope the remake is as long as the original and more fun to speedrun
