Can’t help but think Sheldon has a bit of Southern racism rubbed off on him from his upbringing. Not toxic racism, but just total lack of awareness for political correctness and sensitivity. The funny thing is he shows this to the HR lady.

Big Guy: He's intelligent but he's most probably never used a treadmill before in his life and so, is unfamiliar with its control panel of them. There are plenty of things a lot of people can't do and aren't good at which others can. Of course Leonard wouldn't be used to gym equipment, not his scene man.
