Thanks for posting this. I have the same Givi windshield on my '09 SW, and it is a huge improvement over stock. I found it interesting that you chose to do your "ride by" with the new muffler on the far side of the bike, and from a distance.
You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed this video. When I was contemplating a high performance muffler I wish I had access to this type of video as a resource. That's why I made it, so others could have a good idea about the installation and sound of the muffler. Try the muffler without the dB killer. It's really loud and obnoxious. Maybe you'll like the sound. I didn't.
Was wondering how that was started on the prop stand? Bit dodgy if someone blipped the throttle. The chap that bought my Silverwing tells me that he has a LeoVince can to go on it.
I have tried it with the dB killer removed. After experiencing the obnoxious drone from the 360 degree parallel twin engine with the dB killer removed, I see no reason to remove the internal baffles as well, let alone the dB killer. Besides, to remove the internal baffles would require taking the muffler apart by drilling out the rivets, then re-assembling and re-rivetting the can. Not for me.
Hello! We own a Silverwing and we changed the muffler as well. We have been trying to get side bags for our Silverwing and we are told that the bags don't get made for Silverwings. What kind of bags do you have and how did you mount them?
Those side bags were Givi's, but can't remember the model number. They were discontinued long ago. They mount with a centre band between the two bags which connects the bags together under the seat. The bands overlap each other and are joined by big velcro strips on each band.
I'm trying to buy the LeoVince exhaust for my 2003 honda silvering but I have a hard time in finding the right exhaust. Could you let me kow the name of the person that help you in getting yours? Tx. Alex
I hear it back firing after you let off the throttle, that i did not hear with the stock muffler, that is usually the pairs valve, it needs to be closed off after a muffler change.
The PAIR valve is there to add extra air to the exhaust to complete combustion of any unburned fuel. Its popping and cackling will not cause any damage. It only needs to be closed if you don't like the popping noise.
I bought mine online in Canada from bluestreakracing with the help of Ryan, from leovinceusa. Ryan, from leovinceusa, who brought the first one in from Italy for me, is no longer with the company.
We have gone to Tennessee and North Carolina from Indiana on ours. Husband has gone from Central Indiana to Northern Illinois on a previous he had before we met.
@termites4000 You are referring to small scooters as being exceptional on gas. Saying they are merely for transportation tells me you know nothing about large scooters.
lol if it cant wheelie standing on the rear pegs then its not worth having. u wont look cooler with a vince exhaust and u certainly dont want to draw attention to yourself on a scooter. they are merely for transportation since they are exceptional on gas and have a nice storage capacity
