That hasn't been true for a few decades now. Might have been true thirty years ago but not for awhile now.

But everyone doesn't, that's the point! He has a fanatical, monomaniacal focus that almost nobody else can match. He's had it since before he became furious almost to tears because he was drafted so low. He's still angry about that, I guarantee you. That's why no amount of success will ever satisfy him. In a sport like football, that focus is contagious, but when there's nobody around like that to step up and focus everyone else, you get nowhere.

It's addictive to get inside somebody else's mind and see exactly what makes them tick. Boris Spasky analyzing Bobby Fisher would be like Tom analyzing Ed Reed, or vice versa. It's not so much what he did on the field that led the Bucs to the Championship as it was his leadership in the locker room. Brady made everyone better. Brady showed them how they needed to play to get to the SB and win it. The difference between top teams is not that much... But that extra little bit that Brady brings is enough to tilt the scale.
