Thanks for posting , My 2014 A5 key fob has stopped. Im going to try this as I have the VAG com. Im a bit unclear why you did channel 21 new code 1 and then 3 , and then soft code 131313. Is that soft code a combination of the new code "1" and "3" ? Ill have to research that part a bit further, but this is def a good start. Thanks
hi, my remote stoped working ones so i had the car dealer workshop fix it. but after this the turn signal is no longer blinking. i complained but they claim it’s not related to recoding the key. will you be able to make a video on how to make the turn signals blink when you lock and unlock the car? and also what about having it making a honking sound too when clicked? btw.. i’m also unable to use my remote to raise and lower my windows.. i really need this because i have my dog wait for me in the car quite a lot. could you also include a tutorial on how to make this work too in your future video ?
Hi Sigval, If you look at 4:57 in the video i enter the code 13131 in the 'Coding-07' menu. This will enable the 'turn signals blinking' and the 'windows up/down by remote' options. Also, if you want a honking sound when enabling your alarm you need to add 1024 to the 13131 code. So you need to enter 14155 instead of 13131.

It doesn't matter what the soft code is itself, it only applies if it's different from the "workshop" code below it. So mine was defaulted to 00000 so I found out what functions I wanted on my car so my code ended up being +4712 so whatever your workshop code might be, it reads it as the zeroline and you have to add the amount 2^x number to the workshop code to enable different functions. Here's a link to all of the functions and their numbers. So whatever your workshop code is you need to add all of the functions you want together, for example, I'd want to enable immobilizer (8), add remote window control (64) and let's say double blink at remote unlock (4096). Then I simply 4096+64+8=4168 so all I need to do now is add my 4168 to whatever my workshop code is so let's say it's 10248, so just 10248+4168=14416 so in this case the functions I wanted will be enabled with the code 14416, as simple as that. And of course if your workshop code is 00000, your code should look like 04168, you should always keep five digits on the code to ensure it works properly, just leave them at zeros if your calculated code is shorter than 5 digits. As mine was 04712, since my workshop code was 00000 and all the functions work perfectly! Fixed mine just yesterday.

Amen BreakCartel If your selected functions are double blink at remote unlock, disable immobilizier confirmation flash and disable AT 1Hz blinking, then 04099 sounds right. So all you have to do is what is shown in the video but instead of 13131 insert 04099, close the controller to main menu, turn ignition off, take the key out, put it back and turn ignition on and finally turn off and take out and test lock and unlock to see if the functions have been enabled. Please note that these codings linked may or may not work with all VAG cars, at least they match the audi TT Mk1 I have and to my knowledge most audis but personally I think they match with the more common VAG vehicles outside of audi. Report back when you've tested this out! P.S. You do not have to reset the remote through the adaptation menu every time you change the soft code, just suggesting to reset it to make sure to clear any earlier codes saved if they conflict with the new soft codes somehow.

Do this worked for me with only 1 key,1st put key in ignition,turn on ignition but not engine,now press open for 1 second on remote fob,now press interior central lock button lock then open.remove key from ignition now try to use your remote.job done.

I also had this and what i did was first delete all DTC messages, turn the ignition off and on. Then try again. In the end i had to replace my comfort module because it displayed 72 DTC messages and thus was broken. I hope yours isn’t 😊
Did not work for me I have an Audi TT 2004. All I had to do was put my key in the door unlock and look once and while your key is still in the door press the buttons!
I've coded a replacement key about a dozen times using the key in the door (TT mk1) method and computer. It works, then after about 15 minutes the new key remote doesn't work. Any ideas? I've given up.
@@ralph2376...follow up, the module goes into a "learning mode" of sorts for a time (10 minutes or so) where any fob or key will work whether it was fully accepted. Once that ends, back to no functioning unless it was fully accepted.
Just to add that using 13131 coding isn't necessarily correct for your own car. When I used 13131, my car 'forgot' it was a roadster, and the alarm wouldn't beep when it was set. You have to make up your own code which is actually quite easy, just add together the numbers for the features your TT has:- 00001 = Rear Lid Opening via Rear Lid Lock Button 00002 = Anti-Theft Locking Confirmation (Turn Signals) 00004 = Selective Locking active 00008 = Anti-Theft-System installed 00016 = Half-Automatic Convertible Top (Roadster only) 00032 = Auto-Lock/Unlock (Locking at 15 km/h) 00064 = Comfort Operation (Windows/Sunroof) via Remote Control 00128 = Right-Hand-Drive (RHD) 00256 = Rear Lid Logic (Anti-Theft-System) 00512 = Remote Control "Close" Confirmation (1x Turn Signals) 01024 = Anti-Theft Locking Confirmation (Siren/Horn) 02048 = Door/Window Logic (USA/ Terminal 87) 04096 = Remote Control "Open" Confirmation (2x Turn Signals) 08192 = Remote Control active So in this example 13131 'tells' the car it doesn't have selective locking, is not a roadster, will not auto lock at 15kmh, is a LHD car, will not beep the alarm on setting or do the Door/Window Logic (I've no idea what that is). In my case I needed 14331, everything apart from selective locking and that Door/Window logic. How did I find this out....? My roadster roof wouldn't close when it started raining! 🤦

Hi bud my buttons also not working ,I want to do this but i am afraid that the car might not start if I get it wrong and it messes with mobilize etc.. Is this coding only for the buttons and does not interfere with M obilizer ? Thank you

@@VGames4LifeV i wish i saw your reply 2 years ago ,this week i found the bonnet/hood switch wires chafed and shorting (probably all this time) so i cut it off and taped wires ,still using my key to munually lock my car blinks and hoots now (super awesome ) so the shorted switch was preventing this ,i have owned this car for 4 years ,so what brings me here today is that im on a mission again to get the buttons working as i gave up 2 years back ,you below comment is gold ,thanks for that
