That stubby wooden barrel shaped item reminds me of a firkin. The top is different though and it’s missing a handle. Whatever it is, it’s very cute. I would have grabbed it too 😊

Bless your heart girl.. seems like everybody i know has been battling allergies! These allergens must be extra bad this year! I've had lots of drainage, coughing & sore throat, but my husband & son have been really sick. I have a rough time with fall allergies.. lol I'm weird😄 But I pray you get back to 100% real soon🙏 I love old primitive and antique furniture thats just simple, is beautiful! The fancy stuff Is too.. but theres something about those simple pieces❤ My lamp hoarders heart loved that green & brass lamp, stunning💚 Lol we cant control our wood loving hearts either Mandy😄 The Drs bag is so cool! They really had some great treasures, you picked up some nice pieces! TFS😊

I'm coughing and hacking still too as I'm trying to recover from something.....I'm starting to get the itch to go treasure hunting again so I must be getting better LOL. Just adore the ironstone piece.....I don't think I've ever seen a piece like that before. Hope you get completely well very soon. That bag is a doctor's bag....they use to carry them to make house calls....I think I spotted MD on the front.

I worked for an older dentist, who would take a small old leather bag like that one to the hospital for dental surgeries, in hospital. I would pack it with his requested dental instruments. My guess is that it is a Dentist's bag.
