for a comparison, Shardrox, a solo developer on critical tower defense, created ncb missions, 4 “chapters” like tower blitz but with a hard difficulty and unique mechanics like towers dying and wave lock, a sacrificial hall mission, involving an series of add on modifiers as well as mod that reworked the entire thing(basically new mode at that point) unique perks which tds I don’t even think has even considered, place animations, as well as a half complete pvp mode that tds still does not have (how hard is it to balance enemies bruh) as well as a large amount of towers along with global/tower specific perks that are NOT op, NOT unbalanced, there is no striaghtfoward meta, and almost all towers are viable and useful in some situation. Shard is a solo dev, and he updates the game faster than tds has in 2022. Play ctd instead.

Yea, its very impressive for a solo dev to all that stuff. But most models are simple or free model and the game gets boring cuz the gameplay gets stale. But yea, gameplay loop wise ctd is miles better than tds, its not just put down accelerator = win! I mean cmon, tds cant make harder maps = more coins.
Yes, one tower defense game that nailed all of this was tower blitz, putting you and your best towers to the test against very strong enemies that are uniquely powerful. Not just the event, but the whole game, it has towers you actually need to grind for, things you actually need to be put to the test to complete and accomplish.
You think criticism is good? No. It is just gonna demotivate the devs. In fact, elite is complaining about the most minor things in this update. It honestly sucks. It goes to show just how ungrateful the tds community is. Focuses on the negative, no matter how minor it is. Ignore the positive, even if it is very noticeable or not.
I mean yeah that is true I had my experience that ranger needs to target first first flying and it proves that even a single sleigh almost got to the tree the ranger still got it. And yes elite was kinda incorrect about what he said.
TDS should do more events like the solar eclipse event The solar eclispe event went from oow hp enemies from one wave to higher hp enemies the next, tons of forgotten properties used which gave most towers a use. A fair enough prize, generic, but still good. You cant say a tower like the boomerang monkey from btd6 is a copy if every other TD game probably has a tower like that. It pushed the limits to tds. And it had a fresh progression system we had never seen ever. It made tds peak. And I wish tds could have more updates like this
They should focus more on their base game. The jump from molten to fallen is insane, and any special mode is too hard for the average player. This causes endless grinding and dying on hardcore to get accelerator or a golden crate which will likely lead to disappointment because ranger got a buff making it over powered. There's no reason to use the majority of towers, especially event towers as they are useless. Something like toxic had it's whole gimic taken out and its now useless against anything. Something like slasher, the rarest tower in the game, is outclassed by something like fragger. They need more kate game variety because accel, turret, ranger, gold mini, or engineer are the only good options. The game is falling out of touch with the player base and honestly doesn't have a good challenge that feels possible to beat. At least tower battles has you fighting a truly tough boss at the final wave.

we should make a summer solstice event, easy and hard mode, completely original enemies, bring back ticket shops which give you crates, an event tower, and put freezer/frost blaster into use.
@@LolbitJar the tower would be a trapper tower, but the traps can be purchased with tickets on its daily shop. Each trap has its own purpose like defense melting, buffing towers, stunning enemies, burning enemies, increasing stats, and of course, taking damage
@@moyaiman6491 ok first, if you have to purchase traps for the tower, super inconvenient for both developing and the actual game itself, that means the tower is useless after the event is over. i dont like the idea that you have to buy the traps, maybe if you have to buy the traps with in game money that would be better. another thing, NEVER WILL THEY ADD CRATES AGAIN to the battlepasses because thats rng and they are trying to remove that from the game. and ONE more thing, you still wouldn't be satisfied as it might seem as if it was just a new regular gamemode, DTC (defend the center, or rather the gamemode used in Violent Night and Duck Hunt) is/was a new gamemode, i think it would be better to find a new type of gamemode, like without a path but still one straight exit, where you can place towers anywhere
@@Jay-qd7ib alao the traps will be mixed in the daily shop after the event is over, only costing coins and are 1.1x more expensive. also, they keep adding skins to crates. passes only include like a couple, but what if there are chains of skins? then you need 2 different passes. There is no original ideas making the enemies for DTC and they use the same layout with different designs.
Honestly, the devs should rebalance the towers more, rather then reworking them, brainstorming for new designs for keeping up art style consistency as well as entirely revamped stats takes a lot longer then to just tweak the stats of a tower a bit, like with the Demoman and Accelerator rebalances. Another personal gripe with the game's balance is the towers that they choose to rework. Not that many of the towers that got reworked were in a need of them, personally, only Soldier and Sniper really were in the need of a rework, since they were pretty decently overshadowed by Scout. Along with that, towers that are in the need of a rework like Freezer or Rocketeer are left in the dust, sure, a freezer rework was teased, but still hasn't come out, despite the fact that freezer is in a dire need for a rework or at least a rebalance. Lastly for this incredibly long comment. Other overshadowing. Ever noticed that it's almost always Scout, Soldier, Commander, and Minigunner (and also often Cowboy, Engie, and somewhat Crook Boss) who receive skins with new seasons? Sure, most of the other towers are used less, but that once again can be solved by rebalancing them, giving them a bit more love in both elements, 2 flies in one swat. I lost in the event thrice. Well 3 people had engineer instead of me but the game got really boring to play after a while so i just want them to create something unique and fun and im pushing myself to make something fun.
@@gamerits flying enemies , a big mini boss that stuns your towers (elf also does damage to the tree tho but i feel like the gatekeeper is the p3ngu here) and LESS plots also no mystery enemies which is a bummer.
Update was kinda 50/50 for me. New banger tracks from phoqus (as usual), new skins were really good and new shop ui looked pretty clean. Not to mention the new tower rebalances. Makes tds a little less braindead. However, the new uncomfortable way to unequip towers, the fact you have to go to your inventory to check to see if you equipped the right towers and the fact the event wasn't really that different from duck hunt kinda made it boring for me. Honestly I would've been fine with it being a defend the center styled map if it just brought something unique to it. Elf camp is a fun tower to use However due to the new unit system, it just makes using it a bit more of a pain. Overall a pretty hit or miss update
@@jeheheshehhshe5176 if you upgrade elf camp to, let's say, lvl 5 by wave 20, timer resets and you're basically defenseless. That's why I don't like the new spawner unit timer
i love this video's honesty and agree with alot of his points such as the easy and hard mode although i do think the developers worked really hard on this event and we should appreciate their efforts whether its a good event or a bad one.

And yeah the event is just a 90℅ copy of duck Hunt (90 because the only difference are the ennemies) and for the tower... Well... I am not surprised since you know why... By your logic, does that make the SFOTH event a redesign and basically a carbon copy of the main game modes in TDS back then? No, just because an event, game mode, or map uses the same basic concept or idea of a straight singular path, or a circular path in this case, does not make that event a copy. Also, the wave structure in the Christmas event is different from the Duck event, considering there are 2 mini bosses that spawn in their own separate waves, in which at the late game both mini bosses show up in which they actually work together to give the players a struggle. The event tower (elf camp as you obviously know) has its own tower model, and while the unit's that it spawns are from the enemies of the Christmas event, this is actually a smart move on the devs as it saves them time and resources to work on other important things, like fixing bugs or touching up on enemy models. Also, the units from the elf camp give them a bigger connection and feel closer to the main game since they can appear and participate in any game mode of the game as long as you have the elf camp towers.

@@millerthegamer9143 In 3 years, we have received new content, bug fixes, UI changes, improved playability, and so much more. 2022 has been a great year for the devs and TDS, with a surprising number of new updates being released in a relatively tight timeframe.
You're not wrong. It definitely feels like there is less originality put into the events. It could be due to a set time limit. It was a Christmas themed event that was released super close to the actual day. Now that I look at it the elf camp is basically just the Christmas version of the graveyard from tb. The gift claim for the battle pass also says "Duck Hunting" which shows this is an exact reskin with a few model changes and less cliff space. Most likely the lack of time that the devs might have to develop their game. Before we waited months for an event now we don't really wait as long for an update. We get faster updates but less effort in those updates. I think the devs should just work on an update where they add a permanent feature rather than an event and they should take their time on it and not announce it so they won't have a time crunch. Something that would make the game unique like a story that would play out like the solar eclipse event that wouldn't be an event but rather a reason of why we are defending against these enimies or the return of hidden wave Any of those would be great and add something unique.
Devs said that duck hunting was just a test to see this new kind of mechanic how is the elf camp a copie? He only mentions the similar ones and ignored the other 4. You should try tower blitz winter event. Escpecially chapter 3 and 4 are the most hardest and chapter 4 is hard cuz of wave 23 and 19. Plus INCREDIBLE lags. I hope that deva will nerf a chapter 4 a little bit and remove whole lags. Chapter 4 is just basically night 4 of tds solar ecplise event, but even harder.
As a developer of an up an coming tower defence, I like to watch video one this stuff as they help build an Idea for what things I can do better than the rest as well as add as much diversity in it too. Like having a tower for every singles possible idea. If you need ideas for this stuff, try looking into other games that arent tower defences but are similar, like Clash of Clans and such. Build off of it like for example the inferno tower, do something similar, maybe make something similar but add ability like freeze and such. Try not to make one game winning tower that wins by itself but have it use other boosting towers or freeze towers.

As of 1/16/23: Edited the message since it was 5AM and I was half asleep writing this: I can mostly agree with what you're saying. Although I agree that the UI was overhyped, the animations gave FPS drops and needed optimization. The event was basically Duck Hunt but it was Winter... And I'm not gonna lie I was kind of annoyed because of this. I got bored of the event pretty quickly due to it being the EXACT.SAME.THING. Another point is, I hate the fact that upgrading units refreshes their timer back to the beginning of the cooldown. It (somewhat) ruined some Hardcore strategies like Siki's Hardcore strategy and Military Base became worse. I kind of wish military base had something similar to elf camp where it spawned trucks, tanks, railgun tanks, all having seperate timers. I just wish it spawned the *upgraded* unit AFTER you upgrade it. Next, the Fallen Re-skins. I've been seeing thst the devs have started reskinning lots of enemies for "different gamemodes", when they all feel the same except Polluted since that one actually had ALL unique enemies. Pizza party I felt was by far the laziest since all they did was slap randomised masks on enemies' faces & add only a few unique enemies. Sure, there is lost souls but I feel like Pizza Party would've been a lot better if it had its own enemies instead of fallen enemies. Badlands is similar, although basically in the middle between Pizza Party & Polluted. Although it's mostly a reskin it has its own unique map which makes it an actual unique mode & makes up for it. Be thankful you got stuff because that is fun those reskins made the game have more modes much harder and if you beat any of them solo you are gonna be proud unlike soloing fallen also siki strat is worse then fungi frenzi try that it’s much easier for you to do
One of the things i noticed are that it's **just** event skins in that rewards tab. Not even new emotes or deluxe crates anymore. Im convinced that they won't be doing any reworks on the "worst" towers neither. There's just no way in hell they spent a year just to make some ui which fills your entire screen and barely works half the time.
@@po3794 The only bad balancing was making the games shorter and not fixing the targetting bugs. There are some overly powerful enemies sometimes but bugs barely affected gameplay discluding the targetting bug that was never fixed, and tier 5 recon quests are actually good, as it gives a reason to work hard and makes you play the game in a unique way to get the most for the quests.
FINALLY, A RU-vidR THAT SAYS WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT THE GAME I have not played the game long enough to experience the duckhunt but oh boy PENGU and ripped elf are too similar
@@scissor1603 pengu: appears 2 waves earlier. Altough pengu has 2k less health but he has a very annoying stun. The most common wave people got stuck in the duck hunt event. Required you to actually prepare for his wave by placing lvl 5 medics so you could kill him. Ripped elf: laughably easy to kill because you can get lvl 4 accels at that point to kill him. Doesnt stun towers, infact, theres a lack of enemies that stun in that wave, meaning the only thing you need to prepare is some accels and maybe golden minis, which you were already gonna get even if he didnt exist. Almost no one gets stuck on that wave. Almost no one dies by his ability that decreases hp.
@@pixelatedmayo1177 in wave 23 or 24, ripped elf will comeback and stay there (not walking) and just keep stunning the base and that's pretty annoying if you don't have engineer cuz if only accels, the accels will targeting gatekeeper so you need kill gatekeeper as fast as you can so the accels will targetting ripped elf
As a OG TDS player I can confirm that the duck invasion (first one) was very fun to play unlike the new Christmas event but there is one problem with the duck invasion is that the swarmer the event tower is not that good so I think they should buff it a bit
I think that the game mode was fun and kinda hard, (in my opinion) and the tower was pretty fun to use. but also it doesnt look like they made the event unique or the tower and they dont use the towers strenght to use. the only time they really made a event hard was hardcore or polluted wasteland, but after that they really just gave up on all of the events. but i really like the ui and the stuff they are doing to the game!

in the TDS discord server, in the "unofficial gameplay feedback" channel, i remember a person stated in a deleted message that Defend the Center, the gamemode used for both Duck Hunt and Violent Night, was going to be in more than just the Duck hunt event, but due to the fact that you can almost use the exact same strategy for the duck hunt event makes it a bit contradicting, as the person basically just told us that there will be more of the exact same event.
"Defend the Center" is a pretty good game-mode concept and it worked for the duck event, so why not use it for the Christmas event and possibly future events or maps? Also, one of the main points of criticism shown in the video is that a strat for the duck event can be used to almost defeat the event. ALMOST I say, he didn't win the event still using the strat. Also, the strat he used was one of the more popular and better strats for the duck hunt event which can be used to defeat fallen and other game modes as well. Just because you can use a strat from another event and use it to almost win another event doesn't make that said event, a re-skin and copy of that event. So what, the event used the same concept of a circular placement structure with enemies coming from all over the map, that doesn't make that event a copy. That's like saying all the maps in TDS with a singular straight path that doesn't curve is a copy off of each other just because they use the same base concept of a singular straight path, and if I'm going to be frank with you, that's an extremely stupid way of thinking.

I wish this event had something like in solar ecplise where you actually had to fire the cannon at the right before umbra took 20 base hp from u and I'm not gonna mention the night 1-4 designs even though there were some copies from old enemies, some enemies were unique and made the event harder. Edit: They should add infinite mode i mean it kinda already exists so the devs just have to make it so that enemies increase in hp(like sheild hp so no extra money for players) and in numbers
Elite, you're a great RU-vidr and you were one of the few big mainstream TDS content creators that brought the game to it's highly active YT community. However, this video and the common attitude you have towards the game and its devs is just... pain. This entire video is highly critical of the event, which is totally fine, and criticism is good for any game. However, there's a line between good criticism and just hating the goddamn thing. You claim that the devs have put no effort and no soul into the event. That it's just a re-skin and a rip-off of the duck event. The battle pass sucks, the UI changes are horrible, and the devs are soulless human beings. Sure, the UI is very buggy but at least it's functional and the devs have already said that they are working on fixing the bugs. The event is not a re-skin, the multitude of different enemies have their own models and concepts. The event tower (elf camp) is actually pretty good so to say it's useless is a huge understatement. The devs are being efficient with their time and resources, while still giving the player base quality content to play with. What I'm trying to say right now is that the overly aggressive message that the entire update sucks and the devs have no soul anymore is just annoying. Elite, I know it's a common joke in your videos to make fun of the game or it's devs (mainly below), but you literally accuse the ENTIRE DEV TEAM of putting no effort, no soul, no care into an extremely big update fixing bugs, new skins, new tower, new models, new event, and so much more. Oh, I can't even talk about the comment section right now, it's just a big mess of extreme negativity and claims that just demotivate the devs. I feel bad for the TDS team, the amount of hate and negativity they get in almost every update they have released recently is insane. Also, the fact is, that as I remember, update was delayed by like 2 hours! That's not many, but if you think of it: it wasn't a giant update. Just new design, that can be made in like a few hours, smoll events, which is basically re-skined Duck Hunt, new tower, which is a bit useful in some situations, and reskined razors, with a few boring skins. It wasn't something, that you could've tested 2 HOURS, plus you had time to test it before event, right?
Making models, coding new enemies or towers, and fixing bugs take EXTREMELY long. I haven't even gone through the amount of stuff the devs added to the game in an update they had only a couple of months to make after the wox the fox update. Also, the new tower (elf camp) is actually insanely good and can be used to solo molten or grind fallen which is insane. The update, by all means, is definitely a large update when looking through everything that has been coded and added into the game into such a short timeframe.
I also thought the skins were pretty neat. Even Propellers and other TDS YT's like the skins. The Christmas skins for 2022 have been one of the more high-quality ones I've seen.

@@areus2244 trust me, I know how hard it is. I tried doing something by guides, and that's just madness. But I'm not talking about the fact, that update was maden long. It was made very fast actually, including how "big" it was, but actually nothing, besides new UI that sucks, new seasonpass and event changed. Oh, and tower, which is reskin and nerf of Graveyard, lol. But the fact, that they hold it 2 hours after the date. 2 hours. THEY WERE TESTING IT 2 HOURS, LIKE THEY HAVEN'T EVEN TESTED GAME WHILE MAKING IT. It same as if engineer made some machine, and only tested everything, when it's all done, designed, and ready to be sold.
At 2:47, his teammate set his rangers to strongest and Elite said that he lost because TDS's targeting is bad (the rangers were shooting mecha-santa) It was not bad targeting, It was because it had the wrong targeting set at a wrong time.
I honestly think graveyard was better. It had a really cool look to it, and spawned the hardest boss as the final unit. The event was epic, as well. TDS’ elf camp is cool, but does seem like a reskin of graveyard
I def agree with the easy and hard mode . It is sad to see new players struggling to beat the event, the devs shouldn't make it that hard. Difficult events will always make new players rage quit

I kinda disagree with this yes the event tower was kind of a rip-off but I don't see why the duck hunt type layout is considered bad because I feel like this an event layout that works well with the game and for the easy difficulty well TDS Devs were saying they want newer players to beat the event and that's what they kind of achieved in this one because if you spam mini and you teammates have stuff like Accel and engi with some luck they will win. Also the reason why you may say that the Devs were lazy I don't think they were because they were working on a lot of skins that would've taken a week they then had to do the finishing touches to the new UI Then they needed to properly buff tower so their not to OP but better and also to "rebalance Accel" then they would work on the event and elf camp. They only rlly had a month and a half to do this compared to Pizza Party which they had quite a few months to do so they were fine after finishing the Philips X Tds skins. If you disagree with me fine but timewise the Devs did not have much time. Only bad thing I see from this is the bad RNG from event and the Accel rebalance everyone knows it's a nerf they don't wanna admit ik Accel has 350 damage instead of 250 but it does less and now means engi is better than accel

I can agree with your points on the updates, the new UI is a bit janky and has really dumb bugs (like not letting me scroll to my towers). However i wouldn’t call the devs lazy. They’ve reworked a few towers and cared about improving quality of life features. It’s not really a duck hunt reskin: yeah they have the same mechanics but they have different waves structure. I donno, i just like the event.
Exactly, sure the update isn't perfect but it's nowhere near being so bad that the devs didnt care about it. I hate how Elite over exaggerates the minor bugs and things in the game and say that the devs are soulless corporate beings. It's so unfair to the development team and I feel bad for them.

In my opinion this is my dream event that I think many people will find as a good challenge. Crystal Surge (Hardcore mode but its way harder) 50 Waves 5 Entrances Modifiers: Mutation (Instead of 20% its 50%) (The modifier that changes the mysteries to breakers) (The modifier that changes it's enemies to its own design) Like Pizza party or badlands for example. My own modifier: When enemy dies it revives with half hp Starting Cash: 5000 Wave 1 Enemy: Crystal: Hp: 40 Speed: Normal Abilities: None (I'm to lazy to move on) If this gets 5 likes ill add the next few waves If this gets hearted I'll add 25 waves If this gets pinned I'll add another event and the event tower for this one
usually when devs make an event, they usually other connect it to another game, relate it to seasons and events from real life or just make random ones

I think the reason why they haven’t been putting much effort into events because they are quite literally saving up for the 5 year anniversary. Which is next year. They don’t wanna throw their backs and everything they have out the inventory because then when the big, most important thing comes around for your game arrives, especially when it’s in its earliest stages, their gonna have nothing. I believe they are saving what they have for next year and are throwing these out to not be forgotten like they after Easter 2020 in a sense.
Honestly, CTD and WTD are way better imo. Both have devs that actually put time and effort into updates, despite both games being quite small in comparison to other td games out there. CTD was made by a SOLO DEVELOPER and has some incredible features that make it stand out. If you’re bored of TDS (and this goes for anyone), check these two out.

The fact that both you and me play TDS, Elite, makes both of our points be under scrutiny. But, you can support with playtime and criticize with your words. However, I still want to see somebody else beat winter event with a duck hunt strategy. Also, sleighs would only get tougher if you let the last plot remain, and their shield hp carries over to the last wave, too.

The reason tower animations don't play in the inventory is because of major fps drops in the lobby Then the reason that the strategy worked is because minigunner spam is that good, you can do the exact same thing in the 3 main modes. Every enemy is completely different in the event, the boss is nothing similar, not to mention the mutation modifier which is the reason a majority of players die early on or very quickly without being able to react. Other than the lv0 elf and the elf guardians the elf camp (to my knowledge) is nothing similar to graveyard other than the way it works, elf camp has ranged units, explosive units, and even flying units with the max level having a ranged attack and less hp than tb graveyar
Late but when he brought up the fact that elf camp is just a “copy and paste” of graveyard I would somewhat agree but I feel like he didn’t know the fact that in halloween 2020 (aka, eternal halloween) below had stated in his personal account that he had to scrap the idea of making a spawn tower and had to make something else because he was tired of people saying or giving him a reputation of “Oh he copied tb 🤓🤓🤓”.
I mean, they had only 2 months to work on this massive update, so let's not be that harsh. Again, i would prefer waiting for quality updates than rushed reskins, i feel like after this update, tds devs will realise that their 2020-2021 time was actually the tds golden era and not 2022 unlike most people say, but i think the best tdsera was 2020-2021, the events were so awsome even though we had to wait a long time.
@@gamerits well you would be true, but, im not talking about the map, most events in the future will be like this and im not against it, the thing is there were barely any changes to the concept of the enemies, like the most unique enemies were builder elf, snowman and gatekeeper, thats it, and the developers aren't to blame, its the communities fault, they made the developers focus more on consistency than quality, the community always complained about waiting a long time for updates, so, devs tried to make more updates with much less time on thier hand, and look where we are now, people are saying that updates are low quality. We've brought this upon ourselves.
Bro the best event in my opinion was the solar eclipse event because they added a night system and everytime a new night would drop there would be so many players trying to beat it and they added the party and matchmaking system which is still used today. The sombra boss battle was fun to play but a pain to beat but it was kinda annoying collecting batteries for the star cannon and needing to time it correctly.
Honestly, very true. The community in TDS had been corrupted with lies thinking other games copied this, but no. TDS is the bane of stealing ideas because they cannot make their own. And yes their passion has massively decreased over the years because of how much they got, i remember old tds.. it was so cool seeing these updates that looked awesome, and now this. Their greed took over their minds.

this is true BUT, speaking about easter 2020 easy mode was for people who just wants to do egg hunts, like you DEFINITELY can't just force them to grind all the way from 0 to 20 in order to get a single item.
Act 3 got through some weird changes. it was at first extremely hard to the point of it being impossible but they heavily nerfed it so Golden Soldier could solo it
@@robowisanveithasung6022 anyway this whole event was bad, no inspiration, all enemies were unoriginal, they were copied and pasted from past events, citizen plush, overgrowth or smthn, exe plush, jack o bot, frankenstien, demon, witch, mummy, skeletons etc... Every ost was a remix, or a previous one except one or two, and the lore was sooo bad, there were like soo much delays, for an impossible act, without any lore, and with 2 hands as bosses, they put, like other events, no effort into it
Some things that tds really should add to combat players having to wait a long time for new events to drop. Number 1, bring back golden mode. Number 2, Add an endless mode so players can give them self a challenge Number 3, make it so that modifiers aren’t restricted to maps and players can actually apply them before playing the game Most of this would give tds a lot of replay value and give time for devs to make the events while tds players challenge themselves. And another thing with each event they should add more modifiers or more maps with special enemies to keep players occupied until the next event comes out.
Modifiers are suppose to make it hard? Pizza party, BL2, and PW2 are suppose to be harder versions are fallen. IF you're talking about regular maps then yeah I agree. If they brought back golden mode they would need to rebalance it and remodel most the enemies. Endless mode would be hard to code in but It's possible.
I heavily disagree with most of this video. I heard of this video from the TDS discord, I watched it. After listening to it, honestly, I am just disappointed. Again, TDS users focusing on the negative. Videos like these do not help. They just make things worse. It is like Frost Invasion and Solar Eclipse all over again. Content Creators[including Elite] call frost invasion easy. Then what happens? Everyone complains about the event, an event they waited for after **6 MONTHS.**. Solar Eclipse event? Yeah, well thanks to the discriminatory meme, the sledger meme. Promoted and made by content creators like Elite, Itzsweaking, and much more nutshell creators. Thanks to them, everyone hated the eclipse event because of Umbra existing and Penumbra doing his job. It is hella disappointing that Elite, again, just ruins the event and makes people hate it. Like dude, people want an event. They’ve been asking for it. The devs gave us an event. Be grateful that you won’t be waiting until Spring. You guys asked for it. Then content creators like Elite lead the community to hate the event because the community likes to watch them. If they make an opinion, the community goes along with it and tries to defend it. Just making this video alone just adds something new to my list of tds ungratefulness. From frost invasion to violent night. Atleast give light to the good things, not just negative. Yes, it may be a reskin. However, hear me out. The devs still work on the map and how they look. Especially the skins and animations for enemies. You say “no effort”. What do you expect from the Elf Camp? It is called “ELF CAMP”. What do you expect to come out of it? A gladiator? No, elves. The word “camp” also means that there will be multiple elves. Just based off the names, no duh they’ll take elves and use them for the tower. TBZ and TB don’t do it, but you use TB as an example. TDS only used hard mode and easy mode for Ducky and Frost. TB and TBZ? Didn’t do it. I also think its stupid that you complain about a battle pass. TDS always adds a battle passes to events. I don’t see anyone complaining about it besides you. This event sucks, honestly. It does not have the size of Solar Eclipse, the uniqueness of Duck Hunt or the fun of Frost Invasion (this last one is subjective). I hope the next one is fun and not a Duck Hunt copy.
Hey there elite , im here just comment about the devs , on the discord server i've seen so much toxic things that the devs sayed and also did , for an example , my friend (who is an very good artist) tryed to apply for the artist role , and he got denied becouse he made an golden commander skin , and also putting platinum skins in the background , and the devs just sayed "it doesnt fit on the tds style" wich made my friend so mad he quit and showed me a screenshot of a guy getting the role with an paint poor drawing , just becouse he was friends with the devs . Anyways , there's a lot more tower defense games that are REALLY creative such as tower galactica , the game is so little but has so much potential that i cant even say on this single comment , if you wanna try out and make a video about it , it would be great
But think of it in a dev’s POV. Why spend all this effort into an event that will last for like 2 months? That doesn’t make much sense. They could spend that time into something that would improve the quality of the game without it going to waste.

Look, I understand this wasn't exactly a great update, but I think that not all events are going to be as good as someone would expect, maybe they thought that this event would be a good idea since its mostly unlike their normal events, and it is actually pretty hard, the only reason you beat it so easily was because you have friends who were good so you didn't have to spend 3 hours getting 4 people to use the chat with their eyeballs to get a strategy and lie about them having a unit just because they thought it wouldn't matter if they had a bit different unit, and the elf camp is pretty over powered for its price.

Its gonna be annoying to add in or seitch between in the current target changing system and they have to change the way to switch the towers or they have to completely change the ui
3:31 the thing is, I’m very upset that they removed battlePass crates like deluxe crates or just an event crate in general, the dev’s are having no effort into remaking when you could still have fun modes like golden or free deluxe crates from events
