Let’s Talk About Turin DF83V Coffee Grinder 

As soon as I saw Hoon's show I bought DF83V with multipurpose burrs for $1124. You can't beat the price. I have been using DF64 V2 with multipurpose burrs and really enjoying it.

This vs the Mazzer Philos? I'm thinking of buying a new grinder (possibly endgame) and my upgrade-itis led me to both the DF83V and the Mazzer Philos. I'm not looking to upgrade burrs yet, so it will all be stock for now. I only do espresso, so I don't need filter performance. I'm open to all roast levels. But here's the thing: 1. The Philos isn't available yet locally in the Philippines. 2. I'm worried about the durability of the DF83V. How is it? 3. The DF83V is cheaper, but the reviews for the Philos really say that it's nice, even for the price.

In the Uk the niche duo is cheaper ,think that’s the one I’d have Already have a zero ,looking for some flats for filter brewing now

How would you compare it against the Zerno grinder ?

Looking at Timemore 078 but considering this as well. 078 burrs have a greater surface area than the 83 mm burrs.

Could you please please check if your Blind Shaker you have ( Amazon or Webber ) fits in the slot of the catch cup of the DF83V? That should be perfect and give a little more room between the chute.

If I wanted to use this grinder for drip also, is there a container for about 60g of coffee?

Is it really worth the money compared to the built in grinder of the Sage Touch grinder? 😊

I hope they address the shifting dial indicator….so that you can calibrate the zero point. When they opt. this, it is probably one of the best home grinder out there 😮

I have the feeling than with this grinder all people are more concerned by the specs than how the coffee is in the cup...
