The appeal of the Halloween season for me: It's just that smell in the air of the oncoming winter soltice/childhood pumpkin carving/the mention of "the spiritual veil"....because an ending is just the beginning....+ it's just a "de-compress" to sit down in a comfy chair & throw in a scary movie/hot tea & a little knosh. GREAT to hear all these other U-tube peeps views & feelings on the season!

This was such an awesome video and a great video idea, I really enjoyed hearing from everyone! The movies that put me in the Halloween spirit are Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown and I love Halloween because I love Fall and the holiday itself just makes me feel nostalgic and happy. ❤
So here's my Halloween story. Out of the entire year, October is the one month i can count on to have the most fond memories throughout my life. Give or take a few overall bad years aside, this is the time of year i look forward to the most. When i look back at my happiest and most fun memories, it's without a doubt Halloween. My childhood is most synonymous with Halloween. I can honestly say i had some of the greatest and most iconic costumes from my generation growing up as a kid in the 90s and 2000s. It's a long list from Wolverine to Raphael from TMNT to both the Green and White Power Ranger to Batman to Bloody Ghostface to Jim Carreys The Mask to two of my personal favorites The Creature From The Black Lagoon and Goliath from Gargoyles which i won for a costume contest at my school. I also dressed up as Superman and David from The Lost Boys when i was in my teenage years. It just takes me back to a much simpler time in my life. I miss seeing my parents house completely decorated from the outside to the inside where people would come by just to look at the decorations and there used to be competitions between the neighbors on the block for who had the best decorated house and then all the kids on my block would all go trick or treating together. I never did it for the candy or treats, though. In fact, all the candy i got i would just give to my parents. I didn't care about that stuff. It was always about the memories for me and man, do i have some iconic Halloween memories. Now that i'm older, i've started my own tradition where every year throughout the month of October, i just have a blast enjoying my annual October/Fall/Autumn/Halloween marathon. It started back in 2013. That was the first year i decided to create this annual marathon that i now do every year. I got sick of watching the same stuff they played on tv and wanted to be able to pick and choose what i wanted to watch during this time of year. And every year, i am constantly mixing it up and adding new horror films to watch along with tv shows that have made for some of the best annual Halloween marathons. It started off so small with just Halloween tv episodes and a handful of movies, and it used to be only from the 13th to the 31st of Halloween, and it gradually became something bigger to now it always kicks off October 1st but tbis year I'm starting even earlier on October 22cnd which is the first official day of Autumn/Fall. Ik a lot of people now kick things off September 1st. Maybe I'll do that next year since my lineups have only grown exponentially since i started this thing. I usually get so many new horror films to watch that i end up not being able to watch all of them, but i try. There were a couple of years when i was pulling all nighters trying to watch everything i had listed per day, but i was getting too tired to enjoy all the movies so i stopped doing that and just watched as many as i could with the time i had until i got tired and fell asleep. This one is special because the last season was the 10th anniversary, and it truly felt like the end of an era. So this year, that's why I'm starting in September on the first day of fall because now starts a new era as i continue these annual marathons i look forward to every year. Some films that have become staples have to be a part of the lineup every year because they won't feel complete without them. 1. The Lost Boys It was one of the very first films i added and watched during my second marathon in 2014, and it's been featured more than any other film. It started to expand with The Lost Boys being one of the very first movies added, and it's remained ever since. It's also now become my all-time favorite horror movie. Another one that has become a staple for me is The Monster Squad. It's a must now to have it a part of every lineup every year. Pet Sematary (OG), Fright Night (OG), Idol Hands, Scream franchise, Chucky Franchise, Final Destination franchise, A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Dream Warriors and Hocus Pocus have also all become staples in every lineup year after year after year. The first Halloween also became a staple for the most part, but now H20 & Halloween 3 Season Of The Witch have joined that list. Halloween franchise as a whole is starting to make its way back. Last season was the og and the newest trilogy that got featured. This season, I'm gonna try to watch them all. Every year, i mix it up and keep the lineup fresh and I'm really excited for what I have chosen this year.

Halloween isn't really celebrated much in England. When I was a kid we used to do Penny for the lantern using a hollowed out turnip. We mainly got money not candy. Great video 😊👍💜🐾👋
The spooky season definitely starts in early Sept as the change is happening. Growing up in and around a small town, crops and marshes are at their fullest and create a lot of dense coverage along country roads, bush lines, creaks and rivers, park edges, etc. Back when I was young, there was no internet and cell phones, there was a stronger belief in the supernatural and faith in god, urban legends were often considered as a true story, there were many tv programs and books series that presented various supranatural or legends as fact, movies would start by suggesting what you were about to see was a true story or a version of that really happened and many believed it, and there was far less ability to look up facts and communicate with others outside of normal social settings or to research it at a library. There really was more wonder, excitement, and fear back then. Growing up here and then and having an early exposure and love for film and horror, it led to a lot of great atmospheric memories and fun times. In regards to films that I start. Probably anything that reflects the change in the season, like Dead and Buried, The Fog, In the Mouth of Madness', Children of the Corn, Last House on the Left, leading more and more into things like Halloween, Trick or Treat, etc. Spooking season also continues into Nov for me as its drab, vacant, still and darker. So movies like Rabid, The Exorcist, The Brood, etc. continue to be selected.

I watch a lot of youtubers and this was really cool but i have to ask are there specific youtuber circles where certain youtubers only stick with a certain group because there were a few other youtubers i watch that werent in this video and ik there are tons and tons of youtubers now so it would probably be an entire months worth of these videos to get everyone or most. I'm just curious if that's the case where some youtubers only support and collaborate with a specific group while others stick to another ? Maybe some youtubers are too big to get, or there's just no way to reach them since you dont personally know them, so you only asked the youtubers you do know and may have some type of a relationship with in the youtube world. I apologize for the lengthy response. I was just curious.
Thanks for watching and I love the question! I'm sure there are some YT content creators that prefer to work with certain content creators. I just started my channel 7 months ago, and for the most part I've had a very welcoming experience with the community. There's only been a few content creators that haven't replied back to me whenever I have reached out to them. I try not to take it personally though.
