I kinda agree with your friend but at the same time, it's your channel and you've been making videos for years, you've grown, you've changed, you have new interests and your true supporters will continue watching for you. I don't think you should feel forced to make content, you should do what inspires you 💖

I totally agree with this sentiment. People grow and change and that is a part of life. We should not expect you to be stuck in one area for the rest of your social media life. I actually enjoy watching the variety on your channel, I’m not a big sponsored video person but I get it, it’s part of getting paid and there’s nothing wrong with that. It's called evolving. Marriott used to be a hotdog stand that could only fit 9 people at a time before it became the hotel empire it is now. You are growing and expanding and most importantly have to support yourself and your daughter. Folks will either get with it or won't. You owe no one anything. Definitely, I do miss her hair content and a few other people's but I'm nowhere near mad about the fact that these women are not wanting to do them anymore it is what it is. I've been natural for 7 years hell some of them had been doing videos for 10+yrs
If you want to wear your hair straight, do it! You post a lot of different type of content that will keep folks engaged. Plus you can always take a week or two off of straight hair and give us a tutorial! Don't let us stop you from living! Also, don't let one person's comment derail you. Keep doing your thing in ways that makes the most sense for you!

I will never understand why people associate “natural hair” with always wearing your hair curly??? Being natural is a struggle in itself, but I love wearing my hair straight in the cooler months, and I’m sure I’m not the only “natural” who is like this. Like anything, it does it boring at times. I get bored with my own hair most days, but inspiration always comes back around. Ugh! Anyway!!! I personally go for personality and different content over continuous hair content because there is only so many ways that you can do a hairstyle, but I do love to see how different hair products works. Everyone that does hair videos cannot articulate, doesn’t have a personality, or they become stuck and it gets boring for me personally. I have the opposite sentiments when it comes to your channel. I use to watch your channel A LOT back in the days when natural hair was somewhat of a new thing. after a while I didnt watch as much cause I felt like i've seen it all. Recently i've been back watching your content because I see growth that I can relate to! Vlogging your real life, weight loss, having a new home...ect.
I followed you for your natural hair content but then fell in love with you just being you. Vlogs, home renovations, cooking, I love it all and your sponsored content is amazingly professional. Thank you for accepting your followers feedback. It doesn’t matter if you decide to switch your channel around, it’s your channel you can definitely do what you want. You might lose some followers, but gain some new ones. But I feel like if someone does unsubscribe it’s in your best interest to know why. It doesn’t matter how the person says it. Just let them talk and take notes, so if many people say the same thing you will know if you need and want to make adjustments. I’m not really into hair videos anymore and I feel like it’s the case for a lot those who were following the natural hair movement when it 1st started. We grew up, got new goals in our lives and different hobbies. So don’t hesitate to focus on your new subscribers too. You should do what you love! I’ve watched your channel and been a subscriber for yearsssss. NGL, I’ve noticed a gang of my long term YTers are posting tons of sponsored stuff. It makes me laugh because I understand you have to do what you need to to make this coin! I won’t lie, it’s so hard making the transition from understanding what YT used to be (primarily people making interesting videos they want to share) to what it is now (a hardcore business). Anyway, you been doing a lot of similar things as we have with our first home. We just finished pre-move in renovations (ceilings, walls, floors, kitchen cabinets, and some lighting), but we eventually want to do more (bathrooms, kitchen countertops, etc.). So, I’m STOKED about your home videos. I’m hoping you have a million vids on renovations, decorating, etc. lol I remember watching and being inspired by Stella’s nursery video when I was pregnant. I agree with the young lady and your friend. Here's the thing, I started watching RU-vid videos for hair content. Every single person I'm subscribed to, have stop doing hair videos only. Some have stopped RU-vid period. What I see is that everyone has evolved and have started adding vlogs, clothing hauls, skincare, hair. I think that's great. Ms. Vaughn TV said that people aren't watching hair content anymore but it's people like me who stay subscribe because of your personality. Hoping that a hair video will somehow make it in. I think what the young lady is saying is, it feels like now, RU-vidrs are only posting if the content is sponsored. So I’ve been following you since your college days before Stella. I can’t lie, I see where that person was coming from about the natural hair content and all the sponsorships. But at the same time, there really is so many wash n goes, and twist outs you can do so I don’t mind the evolution of the channel. If you want to get back to your natural hair roots, I’d recommend doing more natural hair product reviews. That way we still get to our wash n goes and twist outs, but also learn about the latest products or older products that we may have been sleeping on, and the content still stays fresh. Especially now that you have color in your hair we can see which products you like best to keep that blond hair healthy. Also I wouldn’t change it just yet. I think it looks beautiful. And I like the lighter mixed with the darker shades. It really gives your hair dimension and appears more natural. So love the color. And just keep doing you. I love seeing the life vlogs, makeup videos, and fabletics reviews. Just try to throw a natural hair video in there every once in a while for us OGs 😉

I think you’re doing fine, there many natural hair RU-vidrs initially that focused on natural hair that have evolved (ie, starting businesses, getting engaged, having babies, becoming vegan, etc) share whatever you feel comfortable sharing.
Your hair is beautiful that color fits you so well. As the day's and week's goes on your color will settle more so don't color it again. That wash & go is bomb gurl. Now about more hair video's, I love the vlogs, Grwm,chit chats, hair video's also. Black hair grows better when it's in protective styles because your not touching it so much and your not getting water overload. I love Cyn Doll, that lady know's her hair science and I've learned so much from her about our kind of hair.
