These guys actually did a ton in the 60s and early 70s, everything from terror attacks to staging huge very well planned riots. Many of the images on this video were taken from a protest/riot in which well organized members of the communist party managed to break the Japanese riot police forcing them to retreat. The communists used medieval tactics to defeat the riot police, often forming front lines with auxiliaries which they would switch out when the front got tired. They also used battering rams, which caused great devastation to the riot police and their vehicles. It was called the “Sanrizuka Struggle”, the Wikipedia article on it is very interesting.

Fun fact, the Japanese Communist Party is one of the largest communist party that's not in charge of their nation They currently have 12 seats in the Japanese house of representatives, 13 seats in the house of councilors, and has roughly 270,000 members. They even managed to get third place in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly in 2013, with 616,000 votes and close behind second place at 639,000 votes. Translating Japanese into English sometimes requires some poetic liberties but I would probably translate 「燃え上がる女」as the “burning woman” which complements the 「黒金の男」or “man of iron.” And 「突き上げる空に」as “rising towards the sky” instead of “for the great blue sky” because it conveys that the fists are being raised towards the sky.

So, not to be negative and/or pedantic, but this translation seems pretty wildly inaccurate to me. Like “Kurogane no otoko no kobushi ga aru. Moeagaru on'na no kobushi ga aru” is translated as “The man of iron has a strong fist. The woman shoots up her strong fist.” But that means something like “We have the might/fists of iron men. We have the might of furious women.” Or worst of all, “Kuni no uchisoto no kobushi ga aru” is translated as “Out of the country raises one strong fist” when it's something more like “We have the might of those inside and outside of the country.”

I remember Japan is the first Asian country influenced by communism thoughts, and although people from other parts of the world may have no idea about Japanese history, Japanese left wing warriors had done tons of efforts and sacrifices to realize their goals. Even if there were some mistakes made by their movements, their efforts do did change their country in many areas and inspired especially the other Asian countries. For example, Many Chinese communists and other leftists once studied in Japan and enlightened by their thoughts, like Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Zhou Enlai and Luxun. Japan might be the most difficult circumstance for left wing movements, in my view it's even more difficult than American ones, the stubborn feudalism mighty, national culture, extreme right wing mighty, comparatively isolated geographic environment, cruel manipulation from some foreign mighty…… hell-level-difficulty-game

I don't profess to know much about the Japanese language but if I'm not mistaken "がある” roughly translates to "there is", so this song is talking about the "fists" of all these people (presumably their fighting spirit and strength) and then saying "there is". In Japanese the main predicate is always supposed to go at the end of the sentence, so it looks like this song is saying "we have X's fist, we have Y's fist, we have Z's fist too", talking about the combined might of everyone pooling their strength. Basically a worker solidarity message (Someone who's Japanese would have to verify this).
