I felt that beef bowl dilemma when I visited Japan. Nearly everything I ate was delicious, and more expensive meals typically felt totally worth the money, but I could never shake the feeling of the 350 yen Matsuya beef bowl and how delicious and filling it was relative to the cost. If I could get such a thing so conveniently for so cheap back in the USA, I'd be there daily. To this day, 10 years later, it has completely warped my perception of just how cheap quality food can be.

I’m still gonna go crazy with themed cafes and merch of my favourite animes when I visit, but I’m gonna keep the tasty cheap food in mind! Watching all the art/animation RU-vidrs I watched back in 2018-2019 and seeing how far they’ve come since then is so nice. I get to see how their art has improved and learn more about their personalities. I think it’s so cool how almost all the RU-vidrs I watched tend to like things I also like, and I think that hits even harder with the nostalgia.
