I don't think you need the 10 minutes restriction anymore. Make it "Let's model X quickly" and take those valuable extra minutes. Do it quickly but not with an unreasonable limit.
I think the 10 min are already a reasonable limit. You've always got the bonus content like rigging or fixing. But I wouldnt mind more extra content at the end though 👍
He's doing a series on 10-minute modelling challenges, but yeah it would be cool to start another series which has little-no restrictions, so we can truly see how good he is.
Chin up. A fail is NEVER a fail - its a learning moment. As an old Sailor - I would sail on your Battleship. (NOT the Bismarck lol). The Bismarck sank the Hood (Brit) and was subsequently sunk by the Dorsetshire (Brit). It had its propellers/Helm damaged by a lucky torpedo strike and could not turn. Someone left the magazine door open and a round went inside and kaboom. Famous song - Sink the Bismarck by Johnny Horton. Excellent and interesting history. See you next week.
I'm super new at this and just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH, your videos are incredibly helpful for learning so many techniques that are exactly what I need for my end goals for blender. Keep up the amazing work!
The ten minutes challenges are so perfect for us to fix attention and learn! I'ts exiting because it's a race, and our brain know that it will not be to long or boring, so it agree to go 110% 🔥 Thank you for all your videos, you learnt me low poly modeling and a use it all the time!
Imphenzia, thank you for taking my advice for battleship, I dont care about 10 minutes modeling, so im very thankful for continue modelling and finishing it after 10 minutes. You have my support (2 dollars). Have a nice day bro!
Hey Imphenzia, don't worry... Failure is a path to success! Actually I'm very happy with the final version of the ship: it' very cool even if it doesn't look like WW2 too much. For the next 10 min modeling challenge, maybe you should try something medieval or fantasy... It's been a while since you did something like that. I am even looking forward to see the next monthly challenge, because I want to give everything and maybe win. Thank you for all your videos (I often rewatch them) and your very hard work to entertain us!
Maybe The Hindenburg next? Sorry I missed the premiere. I shot a really zany commercial on Thursday and was exhausted by the end of the day. Couldn't stay up for 1 a.m. Plus I had an online meeting Friday morning for an exciting project working behind-the-scenes on a big Netflix series. This week work suddenly went from 0 to 111 km/h.
Question: I´ve been wondering about this in a few of your videos already, as I´m struggling with the following: starting Minute 5:40 when you apply the colour. How exactly do you just "colour pick" and it automatically appears in your selected area of the ship? I´ve been trying and I cannot select anything in the left area on my colour chart. Did you change any settings beforehand? Or are you using a key-combo whilst doing this? Happy about any helpful tip! Thank you!
Man, I just want to thank you for your videos, it was thanks to them that I recorded the Blender shortcuts and today I do my jobs MUCH faster... Thanks and continue with "E" to extrude and "S" to scale lol
Keep the ten minute modelling challenge, it's fun to watch and I really like the episodes where you model a character and rig it. Maybe do animals and rig those? The rigging can be in the bonus material.
I love your 10 min videos even though it sometimes goes really fast. I'm trying to follow and learn :D Maybe you could someday also show, how to make a cool render of one of your things
I think you have made a destroyer with the body of a battleship... (I'm not counting the 2 extra failed turrets at the end) Destroyers have from 2-4 turrets and from 1-2 guns on each turret. This ship has 4 turrets with 2 guns each. Btw, the lots of decking will make this ship a very big target... I don't think it will even last a minute... Also, the turrets are way too big... even battleship don't have turrets as big as the entire bridge.
Imphenzia, have you seen the American Fighter Jet called the F/A18? My dad flies them, and I think they would be a nice touch on some of your naval builds, flying over the battleship or on the Carrier you made. Also, I love your 10 Minute modelling challenges!
Wait... he's human after all? I thought I was watching a god :D I'd say, make a game in 10min challange... but I sense we'd barely get pong out of that :D Just keep going m8 ;)
Best video ever! Hey, I'm really curious about how you keep all the solids with smoothed edges, are you using some kind of shader? I've tried many ways to achieve this, I need help XD
Your gun turrets could have extended platform bases onside what about half hour live stream to help us guys out and questions as well as a model vid awesome ship regards Chris struggling
Hey, I think you should have removed the antenna at the back as when the turret in front of it rotates, it will go right through the antenna, anyways I love the 10 minute modelling challenges and pls don't stop filming more of them
Hello sir.… I started learning blender quite a few months ago... Form the past few days i am learning texturing on blender... But i am stuck in a stoopid question can I paint texture on a single face like I do in unity, using terrain tool's texture painting with multiple texture to make some variation on terrain??... If you have the answer please make a video on in🙏🙏🙏...
Great as usually. I'm just interested, if this is a good practice to separate geometry? Do game engines like Unity like models, that has some faces intersected?
I think it's time to upgrade to the 30 min Modelling Challenge. I've been curious to see what u can do with more time and more time to think to make an awesome final result. Pls everyone like if u wanna see this
I was wondering if its possible for you to model a character in a different art style. For example, I love the artwork of the Disco Elysium game, but can you do something like that in blender? Love your content btw, keep up with the good work!
Hey Imphenzia, Im watching your videos since around 7 days now. The only reason why im interested in modeling and gamedev is my love to motocross. I would really love to see you a model and animate a low poly mx bike with suspension animation. Since i saw you recording sounds on an MX Track (and breaking your collarbone), i hope you gonna show attention to my suggestion and wishes \m/ keep riding bro
I like 10 minute modeling but it doesn't have to be the regular thing. I'd personally enjoy more unity things. Perhaps some game that showcases your ten minute models?
Great videos ! I really like your upcoming game LineWar, and would love to offer Arabic translations for the game (text) if that's possible, I know arabic is not such a widely used language but you lose nothing adding it !
