It's a minor thing, but I like how the music of the game doesn't start until you found your first city. It's like the head settler guy talking to his kid; "Hold on son, let me find a good spot to build my house, THEN you can practice your shamisen lessons."

Another nice touch is how the different civs have different music for each era. It's minor but it breaks up hearing the same soundtrack over and over again.

Nature of the game is always part of this. There's too little to do if you're peaceful. True of Stellaris, true of Civ. Hell, Stellaris has no peaceful victory.

actually, if you colonist spam early game for territory, and then fill in later, you might be able to take enough land to snag 40% of the colonizable planets within your range. Not likely, but possible

Yes ...25:08 ... dashed border equals city state ... so Quill is playing the city state of Japan and met the city state of England, both with dashed borders. Well, this looks a lot more like Spain. ;)

as a chocolate lover, you probably already know about it, but if you don't next time you're in Toronto head down to the Distillery District and visit Soma. Best dark craft chocolate made onsite from real coca beans. chefs special has the best price/chocolate /taste ratio imo

You've already had it pointed out to you in another stream that strength is exponential: a strength 10 unit fights a strength 17 unit like a strength 100 unit fights a strength 117 unit! +7 strength is good forever.

People complaining that its not as deep as 5 are just stupid. Civ 5 was a cakewalk in comparison, there is just so much going on in Civ 6 its amazing!! add to that the more aggressive A.I, the difficulty, districts, and eurekas the potential strategies are insanely more complicated, I love it!!

Still terrible at scouting and still talking about sub-optimal civ5 strategies as being the thing. Anyway, double natural wonders seems pretty cool. Early campuses seem less good, you get ahead of your ability to produce useful things.

Also, turn on yield icons when you plan your city placement, makes it harder to miss things and enables quicken judgements of good tiles, overlap seems less important when cities are only growing to size 12 or so rather than 20+ of civ5
