► GRIS Story Synopsis
Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities.
GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.
GRIS is an experience with almost no text, only simple control reminders illustrated through universal icons. The game can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their spoken language.

With the palace thingy at around 27:40, the building above water actually shows you which of the walls will block you and which ones won't so you can navigate accordingly underwater. :)

It's striking me at how each colour and each mechanic is actually a manifestation of depression in some way. Enclosing oneself in a safe shelter, distancing away, muting the surroundings.. self destruction, in desperate cry to pierce through the greyness. And even though colours are returning, they are just different shades of pain, chaos, sorrow.

The riff you first hear at 7:38. I wish I could listen to hours of music like that, but I never hear that sort of thing for more than a few haunting seconds. I'm slightly colorblind (there are degrees, and it could be worse) - but this definitely makes me wonder what I'm missing. I've never seen this game mentioned anywhere, and it ought to be. On the off chance anyone knows some music like those piano riffs... let me know?

Try "Battle Against a True Hero" from Undertable OST - there are similar chimes, though overall the theme is not as chill (it's a boss battle music, after all).

You might be able to get any circles you missed by backtracking now that you've added colours to other areas.

15:30 -- After an hour and a half of watching Welonz make these puzzles seem much easier than they really are, she actually gets stuck on something. It's a relief, I was beginning to think she has superpowers or something. 27:45 -- You can see which walls you can go through in the underwater building by looking at its reflection above the water.
