My issue with these games is that's SO focused on copying Nintendogs is that they end up copying its mistakes, like why am I forced to pick a Dog at the start of the game? I hated that it in Nintendogs & I hate it here...
Would you happen to know why the kennel is blackened out when 5 pets are adopted? It seems the game hints that you can adopt 10 pets plus they mention breeds becoming available, but we are cannot visit the kennel anymore. Thank you for any information since nothing is mentioned on Google/reviews, etc.
This is just a stab, I don't know, but is it an issue where you can only have X active pets and would need to effectively archive or put some aside to get new ones? Even Nintendogs did this with I think it was a pet hotel, you couldn't just have all of them at once.
@@NindieSpotlight Thank you so much for your reply! It does make sense that it is impossible to take care of all 10 pets since taking care of just the 5 is very time consuming. Unfortunately, I don't see a pet archive option. I appreciate your try though =D
My question is have you done tournaments/competitions people are saying they can’t find where to do it and it’s a lost cause? Can u not do this feature ?? Please let me know I just bought this game
Unless they somehow patched it in after launch (which I'd think it doubtful) those are not featured in the game. It is more of a bare bones affair than Nintendogs.
I just bought this game and it says on the box that you can train at the dog park and enter competitions but I can't figure out how, does anyone know a way to do that? and I also can't find a store anywhere and my dogs are out of stuff does anyone know how to find that too?
Unless they added the competitions and all with a major patch after it launched, the version I played absolutely didn't have aspects like that where it would have gotten at least a little more in line with Nintendogs. This had the same look and base vibe but far less content like competitions, etc that were non-existent
@@yadechforever8160 Unfortunately I churn through so many games I don't remember much of anything about a game like that, aside from its shortcomings in that case
At this point I don't recall, I'd have hoped that I would have scrolled through most as I played for people to see. The thing is, on the whole if you were looking for something akin to Nintendogs this absolutely doesn't aspire to that, it's much more bare bones
Would you recommend this game? I really miss playing Nintendogs, is this game worth it or do you think it's just a watered-down version of Nintendogs and not worth it?
I'd say in part it's a matter of how desperate you are. It absolutely isn't comparable with Nintendogs but part of the problem is nothing since then really has been, and while this doesn't measure up it's no worse than any off the others overall, they're right the same at being cute but pretty shallow.
@@r1pfake521 In some ways the power of nostalgia is stronger than the gameplay but in particular while the voice command feature was annoying to listen to it also sucked people in. Also, you'd build up your dog's stats and then could get into competitions with them for frisbee throwing, obedience, and a pretty cool agility run as well. Throw in far more toys and some interactions that surpassed merely being cute and nobody has really gotten close to the bar Nintendo set ages ago. They make some cute animals, let you pet them, have some rudimentary (by comparison) activities, and call it a day.
This game needs a lot of clean up it's clunky and has bugs. I really wish they would just bringing Nintendogs over to Nintendo switch these knock offs are just not cutting it. This game is only slightly better than little friends and worth the 30 bucks I paid for it.
@@Mimickmimi I went with little friends and played only a handful of times before I got bored with it… If I was to do it again, I would buy the universe one once it goes on sale (I haven’t tried it tough, I was just too disappointed with the one I bought that I gave up) Definitely very far from the old Nintendogs games of my youth :/
@@catherine8190 I found my old Nintendo so I could finally play nintendogs. Once I got back into the groove of playing it was just as fun as I remembered. I also got the universe one, it’s quite boring with minimal content and ultimately too kid friendly for my liking. It’s still really cute, although buggy, for people that like pet sims
