Let's Play Shadow Man: Part 24 - "Jack 2: The Ripper" 

Speaking of hi res textures (and yeah I realise I'm posting this like 10 years after you played this game) but I totally recommend trying out Shadowman Remastered. Loads of cut content restored, easily the best remaster ever. Well worth a Let's Play!

Actually, the Jack the Ripper in Shadowman is not really a doppelganger. It is, truly, the original Jack the Ripper from a century ago in London. The reason he's called a doppelganger in his file is because the file was written by mortal men, and it is in the understanding of men that no one can really live that long, let alone continue stalking and killing women that long. Jack, however, is not mortal. Remember, he was infused with a dark soul. He also would need quite a bit of time to build that huge ass creepy asylum, like say, over 100 years. So yeah, he is the original Jack.

I'm not blaming Jack for anything, that was a nice piece of reading lol. They went into a lot of detail damn...You def know I thought of Duke Nukem Zero when you said White Chapel Killings heh. I bet you they have a Shadowman figurine out there somewhere!

You know he really does haha! Fortunately we have one vision, and the vision is that we will stop him now and become the champions....ugh.

Yeah, I liked the large bit of information you get at this point in the game. Lots of detail, answers pretty much everything about the asylum. Yeah, what with the large octo-brain fight int he sewers at the end which could screw you over if you run out of ammo.

Yes, I am so happy with everything about this game (well almost) When you actually want to read the extra background lore...you know the game is good!

Nice to see the raw quantity of expositional lore they decided to dump into the game for those willing to stop and read it. And given the origin in comics, I suppose that's only natural.

We shall banish.... dear god it's hard to speak like a cult leader and I also just finished Bioshock Infinite which kinda led me to wanna do that whole cult speech thing. Anyway, nothing sets the mood for a game then finding Jack The Ripper's personal notes that have all the dark secrets lain out in front of you... real secret hiding it on the table next to the entrance

Yeah, thus my reaction after reading the journal. It is a bit myst like, the fact you have to actually READ something to solve a puzzle is refreshing to say the least. Seconded with not using the subways.

See exactly, the sad part is that this type of behavior actually goes on with some of the big wig youtube celebs. I would be very ashamed of people watching if they would jump down someone's throat for voicing their opinion. I guess Jack must have left in a hurry? haha who knows!

I love how you vowed to destroy Jack just for wasting time reading his notes XD And causing the whole game.

Ahaha oh man, honestly I am not even sure how long it takes...I guess around 20-30 hours if you are playing for the first time.
