It's the platforming version of a review quiz, to make sure you still remember everything it's taught you. Right up to and including that "AAH WHAT THE HELL" moment when it yanked the floor out from under you.
Wow when I go rewatch an old LP and then watch this, I can't help but feel almost whiplashed by that huge change in voice, but it's exactly how I imagine an older and wiser (maybe) blatty might sound. But the mannerisms and reactions are exactly the same just like all the old LPs from like 7 years ago. Love you man and rewatching all of your content never gets boring. :)
Well, that's certainly a strong introduction to a new area. And what an area this is, the music really sells you the sense of mystery of the Derelict Ship. It has that sense of uneasy stillness to it, like time stopped within that ship long ago, and yet it could get going again at any time. I think I've praised the OST in just about every video so far, but honestly, I'd say it deserves it. When you make a game focused around exploration, you want to sell the tone, and this definitely succeeds. As for the Derelict Ship itself, you can definitely tell the difficulty's meant to ramp up here and to test all what you've learned so far. I imagine it helps to have gone after as many secrets as you could beforehand, since beyond the high amounts of damage part, just knowing how to pull off moves with ease is bound to make progress that much faster. The biological nature of the virus certainly adds a very neat dimension to how things proceed from here. The Plague Hive itself reminded me of Legion in the Castlevania series, gotta say, and that added to the gross and unpleasant nature of it. The sound design and the very good use of color managed to make it a pretty unpleasant creature in general, and that was damn effective.
Hey Blatty I noticed that you haven't uploaded in a while.. if you're still doing RU-vid at all just letting you know that Shadow Man Remastered is out on PC and just got released on xb1 & ps4 and has cut content new levels 4k textures etc, I really like shadow man let's play series u did years ago.. it would be nice to see u uploading again.. I'm currently playing it on xb1 and im on like 3 Shadow bars and so far the game is way better, I'm already impressed it's takes me back lol.
Hey KB Beatz, i'm not actively uploading but you'll still see me floating around here and there. I did see Shadow Man being remastered on PC/xbone/ps4 and I think it is great for more people to experience this vastly underrated gem. Sounds like you need to get back in Dead Side and fine some more dark souls!
