On Page 61 of the Stargrave book it says "Whenever a figure activates a power" it takes the Strain. Earlier on the page it says "If the roll is less than the activation number, then the power FAILS TO ACTIVATE." (emphasis mine). It didn't say 'attempts to activate'. So, if the power fails to activate, the figure doesn't take the Strain damage.

Cracking game guys. Love how Gerry doesn't care about the result and plays the game for the enjoyment, whereas Justin always seems its all about winning

First shooting and I'm totally confused, where they get 3 shots on rapid fire? It shoots twice, but if you have 2 different targets, or one target with +2 dmg...

Note about 14:10+: You only take Strain damage when Successfully activating a power, which I gather is a difference from Frostgrave. So experieced Frostgraver's might miss it :) Note about 21:00 how do you make 3 attacks? Rapid-fire allows two attacks but only at two separate targets. Or did I read this wrong? Lovely game and great match!

Drain/wound cost for using a power shouldn’t happen if the power doesn’t go off; Joseph mentioned that on the Stargrave FB page this week in a thread. Love this game!

I purchased the Frostgrave ruleset before I knew about this one. I'll eventually play both, but now I gotta figure out which to begin with.

Although the book desperately needs an index, if there isn't a cheat sheet included, I can see the community producing one ASAP. The speed of play is one of the big draws for me. Being able to get a full game (including pre/post action stages) in under an hour and a half once you get used to the system is fantastic.

Just a minor detail but with the group activation at 46:23 the first action for each crewmember should be a move before doing any other actions. It didn't make any difference to the game but I thought it was worth picking up on for future games. I'm halfway through the video, loving it so far.

there is an old sci fi TV series called, Blakes 7, very 1980s cheesy sci fi. a band of freedom fighters doing little raids and missions. it would work well for this. and the costumes were crazy.

I thought Gerrybacca said that no model is allowed within 6 inches of any of the marker. However 4 of his crew were pressed against the side of a building with the marker the other side of the wall and then he went inside said building again within 6 inches. Gerry also put 2 figures on the roof of that building. Did they both forget or was it only for deployment?

I really like the opposed roles. It's makes combat seem quick and clean! And symmetrical armies would keep things balanced, making this more about fun and skill than army mismatches. It looks like there's still loads of customization though, to keep forces feeling unique. Love it.

Where does this terrain come from? Where do your figurines come from? Where is the ape? Could you zoom some times your figurines? And last could you roll your dice under a camera in a dice tray? Not that I dont trust you ;-) but could increase comprehension. So now I deserved to win the prize!!
