This game is fun, but I never cease to guess a player from every other team in the division before I land on the right team.

I was really hoping you’d do a WARdle play through. When I found out about this game, I immediately thought “Foolish Bailey would love this.”

This was a cool idea… maybe a Weekly Wardle could start being a thing 😂

I've been using Giolito as my opener for a while now and he's done wonders for me, I actually had the same Luzardo/Urias dilemma on Saturday lol

Dude, i tried this the first guess I had was Jorge Polanco and it gave me age range from 26- 30 and throws right. Thats it. And I guessed Kris Bryant and got it!!! Two tries!!

I got Greinke in one guess because I always use him first :) He’s my favourite player so I decided I’d always guess him first so I’d get him in one guess if he ever was the pick.

For today's, I went: Marco Gonzalez (got me US, 30 years old, and most likely a R/R), Aaron Judge (narrowed down to NL West, partial outfielder), then Kris Bryant. I had a similar thought process and initially thought of Chris Taylor, but I wasn't sure about the age. I was fortunate that when I guessed Judge, I thought "partial outfielder" and not just, "outfielder", because I wouldn't have thought of Bryant if my mind was on primary outfielders. This was pretty fun! I'm glad I was introduced to this.

I was screaming Kris Bryant at my screen for the last one after you guessed Grichuk. Didn’t play it before you but probably would’ve gotten it in 1 anyway because he’s almost always my starter

This was awesome. I had the right player in my head as soon as your first answer came out wrong for Sunday, so to see you cycle through all the rockies outfielders was hilarious.

I had the same thought of "start with someone obscure today" so I started with Max Schrock. Took me 7 guesses to get to KB as well, but I guessed Cron and McMahon before KB. I also guessed a Dodger, and then a Giant before making it to the Rox.

Jacob deGrom is the best opening guess because he bats L and throws R, so you can nail down the handedness and whether or not he’s starting pitcher on the first guess.

LOL since Bryant was my favorite player for the Cubs way back when I guess him first and nailed it immediately haha.

Would love to have more of these throughout the season! I did exactly that, paused Sunday night to play and compare how I did. I felt so dumb for not guessing this guy sooner!

I enjoyed this. I hadn't played it before so it was a good introduction to how it works. I hope you bring back the Baseball Reference with a player interview thing. That was really fun if you have any other player that you could do that with.

Stopped the video 1 minute in to try this out. Got it in 3, although there were some really good hints. Can't wait to add this to my daily lineup after I do the wordle of the day. Went Matt Olson, then Chris Taylor (great minds think alike), and then went Bryant after I saw 1st base and CF were both yellow and it was an NL West player.

I love the idea of this as a series! One idea I had: In wordle, theres often strategies for the best starting word or starting words, and there's some basic math and programming involved. Could you use some of that math and derive the best starting player or starting 2 players that give you the most information? Could definitely see this being a collab with a math/science/coding RU-vidr because baseball strikes me as a sport that you could program out all of the data in WARdle with python or something.

I got Kris Bryant in 8 guesses...but my previous 7 guesses were all Carlos Santana, so it was actually pretty impressive!

Two-banged today. Juan Soto was my first guess. Whenever I see the yellow on RF or LF, I instantly think of Kris Bryant lol. Dude plays everywhere

position eligibility isnt a thing for the player you’re guessing bailey! i had the same issue but jeremy thankfully explained that it only turns yellow if the mystery player has played 10 games at the position. for example: i missed the keston hiura one bc i guessed austin riley, and ruled out first base bc it was gray

Funnily enough, Giolito is also my regular first guess because I like knocking out righties, Americans, and SP, as well as being in probably the most common age range. We share a kinship.

I always use Joan Comargo as a starter because he plays many positions, throws right, and hits switch

Funny enough Giolito is my favorite player so he has been my go-to first guess. Today I did Giolito -> Alec Bohm -> Justin Turner -> Kris Bryant. Guessing a 3rd baseman on my 2nd try made it a lot easier, but after that it was a crapshoot between turner, longo, and bryant
