This is another good entry for Lithuania. I wasn't quite feeling it on first listen, but it steadily grew on me, and now I am quite a big fan. I can see it doing quite well, although I am not sure I see it topping their top 10 result with The Roop from last year. I noticed the Barbra Pravi similarity too, it's giving that old-school charm, but in a slightly different package, this is giving me a bit of a jazz club vibe. The Lithuanian selection wasn't the strongest overall, but the final was fairly strong. My favourite of the final was a song called "Before You're 6ft Under". But that, Lolita, and Monika, were my top 3 so I was happy with the result. 😊
I was coming into it sulking that Lolita didn't win but after watching this, I can see the decision was very hard. Both were exceptional entries. Been replaying it non stop, it's definitely a grower! 😍
Love that Lithuania are sending an entry in their native and one that I do think the Lithuanian diaspora will get behind. It could qualify but will depend on what songs are in its semi
really hope Monika qualifies, because this was one of my favourites from when I first heard it; reminds me of Jessie Ware's latest material, as well as Body Language-era Kylie (and I do get the Barbara Pravi vibes as well) - laidback, sultry, horny disco and I love it! ;)
I am happy she was the one to win. Even though I agree a bit of something like a culmination, the "boom" effect is missing in the very song. I agree with you as well in terms of her performance - she is mesmerizing, and the music is too, they both are very professional and high quality, so I hope people will manage to identify it and put it to the top :)
The look, the stage presence is all there. Revamps are handy to fix songs, slight changes, look at Not Your Mother from the first performance to the last, the improvement was very noticable 😄
