Ever since vanilla i've noticed about 75% of all raid dialogue is spoken in /yell, even 1 on 1 conversations. I can't help but imagine the characters absolutely SCREAMING in each others faces. Illidan: GREETINGS VELEN!!!!!!!!!!!! Velen: HELLOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"GREETINGS ILLIDAN STORMRAGE." Velen said, his neck muscles straining visibly. "AHH, PROPHET VELEN, IT SEEMS YOU'VE FINALLY ARRIVED. COME, LET US DISPATCH OF THESE FOUL DEMONS, SO THAT WE MAY PUT OUR BOOT TO THE LEGION'S THROAT." Illidan replied, voice booming to window rattling levels thanks to his demonic power.
😢@Pyromancer don't be worried mortal. I'm locked here because I have seen Aman'thul snorting line of coke with Eonar and that fucker locked me up here. Fuck titans I'm all for Azeroth now.
Ulduar! Still my favorite raid and my best time while playing this game back in WotLK. To this day I still wear the title, "Herald of the Titans". This raid is beyond epic and some many great memories. Cannot wait to return in the "The Last Titan". Maybe there will be a new Hearld of the Titans like raid achievement. Also, MADNESS WILL CONSUME YOU!!!
Ulduar is so good! Never took notice of the Poseidon glass windows tho! Perhaps the old gods are a greek type panteron from before the titans arrived!!
Not sure if you have covered this idea or not. The "old" Gods are actually the Greek'esq pantheon that existed on Azeroth, and were forcibly altered by the Titans when they ordered or reoriginated the planet. Which could have completely mutated and twisted what the Gods were before. Random thought I had seeing the Poseidon stain glassed window.
One of the items Vezax drops is Voldrethar, Dark Blade of Oblivion, which has sparked many speculations too. It's name is eerily similar to the walls / gates in Icecrown.
The Constellar seem so machine-like to me. It's hard to believe they're a race of benevolent beings the titans just "came across". They speak just like the robots on the other side of Ulduar and really it just makes me think of Norgannon
I will never not be impressed by his dwarf voice. The inflection, pauses... everything. Dude could literally voice act his own dwarf npc in the game if they let him.
of the insane number of times that I've done this raid... the can opener is mind blowing. holy expletive batman. Snake on the left of the woman cloaked in shadow? the snake head? im not crazy! you're crazy!
So to access the planetarium, we need sigils from the keepers. Didn't we ALSO need sigils from the eternal ones in shadowlands? Are the eternal ones just watchers too?
One of the planets in the algalon area is azeroth sideways you can make out some of the lands like winterspring, Stranglethorn, lordaeron, etc. think you said it was the eonar one.
28:30 really makes me remember the defeat of Zovaal, looks like they get a few seconds of sanity back before dying while being dominated (or at least that's my take)
I feel like the Curse of Flesh was created by Eonar (Blaming the Old Gods to manipulate us) to fuel the Dream and the Shadowlands, keeping Azeroth asleep and gaining power in Death to control the Pantheon of Titans. Maybe that's why Sargeras left initially, but wasn't impertious to Her. Why I think Sargeras is under some control? Well, for sure, he tried to free Azeroth and thus, proves he's against the Titans. But he also took the Elf immortality, fueling the Shadowlands even more. The Ardenweald is quite a place after all. But more on that later. The Keepers would have never let us in Yogg's prison, we are corrupted by him after all. And that whole "The Keepers were corrupted by Yogg", I don't buy it. The Keepers are emprisoned by the Titans, Yogg is trying to free them like Eonar freed us with the Curse of Flesh. The Old Gods are depicted as lovecraftian beasts, but if the Titans can turn Earthen to Dwarves and Troggs, they could have turned the Old Gods (Poseidon dude, the blue haired lady, the two babies and the imprisoned lady) into fleshy mess easily. And when those gods tried to fight back, their leader was pluck out and gave the Titans a nice place to tap Azeroth for themselves. And by the Titans, I'm mostly speaking about Eonar who, to stay in power, used the force of Life to create the Dream and keep Azeroth under control. Heck, they even left once the Well was created, leaving a great door for Sargeras to barge in. Azeroth is powerful, it's undeniable by simply looking at... us. Eonar made us to weaken Azeroth and use her power to fuel... probably herself. We fuel the Shadowlands and Ardenweald after all. Eonar uses Nature to gain power and allies across the six governing forces. Eonar is the Dreadlord of Dreadlords. Wouldn't surprise me that the Life-Binder is also the Death-Binder, puppeteering them all. And she might had a foot in the Legion too by revoking the Elves' immortality by the destruction of the Well. In fact, Eonar is worse than that. She is a looping, infinite Oroboros and we're all stuck in Her endless cycle. That Mimiron speech is suspicious as hell. I feel like he built these weapons to kill us, it is not a free willed Mechagnome after all, or else he wouldn't be a Keeper of Ulduar. Because Algalon's "reset" wouldn't kill us, but bring us back to Azeroth. While Azeroth is deep asleep, an amount of power coming back to her could have awoken her, and that's a no-no to Eonar. And now that the Sword (What sword?) has weakened the Titan's Defense (If Sargeras has free-will) or attempted destruction of Azeroth (If Sargeras was controlled by Eonar, following our blatant display of power over one of the 3 governing forces of reality Eonar has a hand in that we know of (Order, Death, Disorder) Holy is quite pushy too, wouldn't be surprised it's Eonar trying to syphon us that way and, well, Eonar is the Life-Binder so she's clearly dominating the Life force of reality, it only leaves the Void, Eonar free. So let's flip it and say yeah. All this time, the Void were the one protecting Azeroth from the dominating for that is Eonar. The Void isn't bad or good, but it's the only one that as free will, like us. But then, we still need to know WHAT is Azeroth, because maybe Eonar is right to do all of this, Azeroth might break something big. But I wouldn't bet on Blizzard going the "It's good to not have freedom" path. What is more Azerothian than Freedom? Guns. Tinker class confirmed. Thanks for reading my tin foil hat conspiracy.
What I've never paid any attention to is that before the fight, Algalon speaks in a very robotic way. After we beat the shit out of him, he starts talking like a normal, sane being. Was his mind controlled / dominated by the titans ?
My problem with the planets stuff before algalon and the thought maybe we'll visit them; I think Blizz has completely forgotten about these small lore tidbits they put in the environments. The story and lore has evolved so much and so many different people are working on the story now, I think all this stuff is just completely missed by the people working the story because they never really paid attention to the small details. Hopefully now that Metzen is back he'll be like "yo remember all they lore stuff in ulduar? Let's actually develop that"
The wild thing about that green spinning machine pyro screenshot, its the green pulsing power is coming out of those bulbs with green motion in them, but in every other instance its just the green bulbs.
1:114:24 I agree with Thornefield. I too like how Algalon stops and considers and goes. "Maybe I am in the wrong...I need to do some self reflection." That's some intriguing self-awareness.
50:05 looks like a snake on the left and a vrykul or maybe keeper on the right facing each other/middle. The face in the middle makes me think pandaria, like it has an Asian aesthetic to me, and the snakes tail seems to make a path that heads towards the face in the middle but then make a beeline for the vrykul/titan keeper looking thing on the right. So if the snake represents the old gods; than maybe, the old gods that were left were headed towards pandaria (not necessarily physically) to see what happened to yasharj and got sidetracked? Like amanthul ripped yasharj out of the planet and that would make the other old gods go, “whoa what was that?!” So they mobilize to see what’s up, and then all these new things start popping up on the planet…. Beeline for the vrykul/keeper looking thing explained. imo
The way Yogg portrays himself in multiple ways as a female Vrykul almost makes me think that the stained glass with the feminine humanoid head and tentacles might by about him.
i find it kind of interesting, that you specifically have to wak through 3 broken windows to get down there at 50:53 looks like all titan prisons are contained of 3 layers?
Him talking about Poseidon being represented to be N'zoth got me thinking about how rune weapons spit soul from body. Could Neptulon be the person in the stained glass? Would N'zoth possibly at one point been united with Neptulon? C'thuun for example hides deep underneath silithus hes also big and fat like Therazane. Even in the murals they have similar color schemes... The C'thuun stained glass has an orange crystal just like Therazane does...(I could be crazy) I know that the old gods and elementals fought one another...could that have been a lie?
I've always interpreted the "Descent into Madness" as Yogg's influence either warping reality or our perception of it, since there's no real logic to the architecture. The path doesn't make sense from a construction POV, there's nothing connecting the rooms or entrances, and the entire Vezax room is an anomaly: why/how would the keepers build a room like that without any way to access it, how did the Twilight's Hammer get in? The platforms are already a way in for the keepers, there's no need for the side entrance.
The pictures hiding a path is like dragonflight abberus raid last boss. Makes me think they built ON TOP of existing structures. We do know that Odin wanted no evidence of anything before them.
So if our initial theory is that Azeroth is not a baby titan and is in fact something greater, imprisoned by the titans.. why did Yog called her a miserable little seedling? I doubt that the old gods are in the dark as we are. Why would they believe Azeroth to be a seedling?
Sooo. The trees empower Freya…..And the Titans want the power of Azeroth….And we’ve planted a bunch of massive Trees like Nordrassil, Teldrassil etc much with the aid of Eonar’s Dragons…….
@50:00 i think this is just a representation of "Sara" like its one of Yogg's representations they made into a panel? I'm not sure though, but i felt it was simple at first, but the other panels leading up to it for a long time stumped me. Your interpretation is vveeerry interesting.
What happened to Algalon after the encounter? Where did he go? What is he going to do? I wouldnt be surprised if we see him in the upcoming expansions.
When you looked at the stained glass i'd say that Blue eyes is cthun Red eyes is n'zoth Green eyes is Y'Shaarj No eyes (tentacle one) Yogg If you see how they are depicted in various pictures thats the eyecolor they all have. And Yogg doesnt have eyes at all.
I was gonna comment earlier on in the video, when you stated the Thorim fight was annoying. Sure as shit you got caught in the big annoying circle. I always forget about it on farming runs.
the old gods being actual old gods who were benevolent beings who served azeroth the creator, then got twisted and corrupted by the titans and particularly eonar, and then turned into cancerous lifeforms and then imprisoned, its pretty far teched but i like the concept, who knows
What story are the Stained Glass telling? The first room, may show the original forms of these beings. The next room has the woman's window shattered. And the window with the two babies, only one is displayed. Could this show corruption or perhaps metamorphosis? Perhaps this is depicting something that happened long ago. Perhaps the twins are the children of the man and woman. Perhaps, only one twin remained, and was corrupted after the loss of the man and woman. In the second room, there is no window depicting the man which was shown in the previous room. If there is meaning to this, I am not sure. But interesting all the same.
Since there are fragments of the broken windows, i'm curious if anyone has ever attempted to recreate them in photoshop, putting the pieces back together.
Wait a minute. What if all the old gods was imprisoned when they had their original forms and the only way they became these abominations is because Xalatath told them she could free them if they embraced the void? And maybe thats why Xalatath says "for so long, she has denied me". Because Azeroth didnt take the bait. That explains why she is the only one left of the old gods that is still imprisoned. The parallels with Azeroth and the old gods is just too similar. They bleed through the earth and make minerals like Saronite and Azerite. Yoggs power is greenish and harvested by the titans for their use. Azeroths power is yellow/blue ish and likely also harvested by the titans?
I swear even the elemental lords look like they could be the children of the old gods. They could have co-existed in peace before being imprisoned and when Xal helped them escape, it caused the era of the black empire
What if the old gods are some sort of ancient ultrapowerfull denizens of azeroth cursed by voidlords to become these old gods(sorry for my bad english, its not my native language)
I have been saying for years that the Old Gods are not what we were told they were, we found out who the void was by the dreadlords, and they have been spreading lies about the void, to cause a war, I think the Old Gods were the original Keepers that were experimented on by the titans and or Odyn himself, which is why some of the keepers are missing. And this will be controversial (if proven true) but I think N'zoth is the original Tyr.
So I got a question/problem regarding Ulduar and the Titans and the Glass in lead art work. why did the Titans make Glass in lead artwork of not 1 not 2 but multiple Old Gods?? Seems a bit odd to make/have artwork of your enemy or is it just me? (lets ignore the weird art work like the babies for example) It just seems odd for the Titan's that is all.
The Old Gods aren't dead. Y'shaarj's death almost caused Azeroth's death, that's why the Titans imprisoned the other ones. So the theory of beating them back into their prisons makes a lot of sense. See Tribunal of Ages boss where it is clearly stated. It's true though, that the devs said they are dead which is a contradiction of their own lore.
Not as far as we are aware. There have been hints at a fifth old god since the prophecy of Cthun in Vanilla, if I’m remembering correctly. Whether or not Xal is one of them or was conceptualized that long ago is not for certain. I don’t appreciate this seeming attempt at a “gotcha” by trying to use what I said against me, but it’s a fair question.
@@Pyromancer I am sorry, I should have chosen my words more carefully as I did not intend to ”gotcha” you. (Is that a phrase?) Thank you for taking the time to answer.
