I feel ya. I’m waiting on mine here in Canada and I’ll definitely get the ECU flashed with a slip on after the break-in. Also, paying a license plate 475$ for a 400cc instead of 1800$ each year for a 636cc is a huge deal here. Specifically when you only get about 5 months of warm weather 👌
I didn’t think about the insurance difference between this and a zx6r or other 600. That’s a good point. And yeah once I’ve gotten through at least my first oil change that tune is gonna he i it’s way! Congrats on the new bike man! Thanks for watching!
Where are you in Canada? I'm in ontsrio and just got my m2 and hoping to source a zx4 myself but I never heard of yearly license plate fees? Unless your talking about insurance?
@@Theslowsquid I live in Montreal, Quebec. You gotta pay for your license plate and also insurance every year. When I had my ZX-10RR I had to pay 1850$ each year for my license plate fee and 600$ for my insurance each year… plus my bike per month.
LoL KAWK 😂 I have a ZX4RR 😅 one … the power 52 hp out of 76hp and two the sound …. I will be doing a full exhaust from Graves ❤ …. I wish they allowed the “race only” feature or allowed you to by the ECU
@@msromike123 It has nothing to do with the exhaust it has to do with how high the engine will rev and give power. In North America the power level drops off at 11,500 RPM where the rest of the world it drops off at 16,000 RPM that's due to noise regulations. In North America the power is only 54 horsepower the rest of the world gets the full 74 horsepower. However all you have to do is unlock the ECU to get the full power in North America.
95hp cbr650 gets no love because everyone says it's too expensive. Yet zx4rr with 55hp off the showroom floor for the same price is the new hotness, go figure. The cbr is more of a pure street bike though, it was never really intended to be a track toy.
I bought a 2023 zx6r base. It does come with kawasaki quick shifter, high/low power modes and 2 different levels of traction control along with off. It was only $10,600.. which isnt that much more...
As much as I would love an autobipper you can get it on so many more powerful bikes for the same amount of money as that bike. So not worth the price tag. MT-09 cost just as much, with low insurance cost and has the same features and more. I just can't justify that price for a bike that's not even really better than the N400 besides the added tech.
I think so. Clutch is pretty light and easy to find the trap point. seat height is low and good enough power to have fun and the when you Get bored, do a eco flash and gain 20hp.
Pssssst... from what I can tell, it's not that expensive (about $200) to get the unrestricted tune... if you're interested I could link it. It isn't an option offered by the dealer, but it's offered 😂 they also have a slightly more expensive, slightly more powerful tune (about 76 hp)
Oh yeah my dude fully aware of the tunes out there haha Still wish Kawi would offer it for free though. but Should be doing it here within the next week or so Thanks for Watching!
You lose 20 hp. Aka you lose max speed. I don't know if that really is a big loss when you can easily go over 100 still. If you lost torque that would be more of a problem.
Yes but getting to 100 is also slower than it should be. If you look at the dyno charts it basically flattens at 11k RPM which is about 4K short of the redline so you’re still not getting full acceleration.
@@MOTOSWITHDAK I didn't because I get tired of seeing people make videos with annoying titles, and dragged out content that leads to nowhere. Just talking for the sake of talk doesn't benefit anyone or anything.
@@yoh2023 I mean I can't flat foot the bike so you'd probably be able to flat foot it. id say 6 ft is still a good size for the bike. more the weight of the rider that would really effect it. im 155lbs so if you're 200 or so the performance of the bike will feel a little different.
200 buck ecu flash zx4 is 72 to 75 hp. Leaves twin in the wind. Fact is it is track ready frame and suspension wise stock. In curves with flash it will hound a zx6. Do 140 top end plenty for street and anything but track with long straighs were zx6 will rule it
Already been done. definitely something im going to do once I've gotten the thing to redline a few times and got a good feel for he stock power. then we'll compare the 2! Thanks for watching!
Don't kno why people compare the ZX4RR to the ZX6R...When the ZX4RR is the R7 killer..that's another reason they made it..bc we wanted the body of the ZX25R instead of the ugly ninja 400 & we wanted something that could kill the R7
R7 is a torque monster compared to the zx4rr. Completely different bikes that make power differently. IMO torque is king but damn 400cc inline 4 is awesome too. I like them ALL!!!!
@@Myrussell67 that’s true the twins usually always have better down low torque. And that’s definitely the right attitude! There’s so many awesome bikes to choose from, just pick one you like! Thanks for watching!
