I have a McCormick-Deering trip loader on one of my Farmall H's and use it for a heck of a lot of stuff around the farm. You sure are right about your mindset using these, you need to think ahead about exactly what you want to do with it. 👍👍👍
A little more thought and you can see just how useful they are for sure! I used to be the guy that thought they were useless , my mind has been changed ! Thanks for watching ! Cheers
I had a trip bucket loader on my John Deere A when I first got it. I messed around with it some and it was terrible especially with a tractor with a hand clutch. I needd a couple extra hands to operate the throttle, clutch, the loader, and steer all at the same time. I ended up just giving it away. 😆
It's not that difficult to add cylinders to the bucket. It greatly adds a lot of value to your loader. As well as makes it easier to use. And you can adapt a bucket or pallet forks or spear made for modern tractors to work very well to the trip bucket loader.
It’s definitely doable but by the time you plumb in a spool valve , buy cylinders and have lines made , Your likely more then I have invested in the whole tractor. And the Allis high pressure , low volume pumps arnt very quick. That’s why I left this one trip , I have a JD 2010 and Allis D17 I’m putting together for hay tractors with live hydraulics. Thanks for watching
I'm curious as to what you guys use for stringers and coupling pole on that long wagon. I'm assuming it's got to be heavy duty to carry that much weight
I recently bought a freeman 2000 loader for my farmall h can't get it to pick up small roll of hay. Wondering if you would know the reason. Seen guy on you tube with a farm all h life a bale with his and you with yours. My pump is putting out normal pressure. 850 psi
I’m not super familiar with the Farmall stuff. However it’s possible there’s a relief valve that can be adjusted. Maybe reach out to Pete @justafewacresfarm RU-vid channel. He Is a wealth of knowledge with old farmalls. Thanks for watching and I hope you get yours figured out
