Hey man! thanks for reviewing my cards. I'll tell you what, when I came up with the idea for Icarus I did not expect it to be so difficult to balance! As with all of my customs, I think I fell into the trap of overcomplicating things towards the end. Not quite as badly as Lestat from last year, so I think I at least improved a bit - but there is always more to learn! The cards have been through a few revisions since this was recorded, and I urge anyone interested to check out the new versions. Briol was reworked since shown here, he's grade 1 now but still gains intercept and 10k. He has a simple draw skill to get things going, since I felt the deck was way too complicated to play in testing beforehand. I also removed his deck skill, mostly for the reasons you mentioned in this video and because I changed icarus' second skill to instead be able to call from the bazaar and give the front row a small boost. This helped to make the deck run much more smoothly, among a few other changes. Despite this, a lot of what you said in the video are very good points which I have not yet implemented! So thank you as always for the feedback, and I'll continue tinkering. Funny thing is, I think I may have been editing the cards as you were recording because I noticed the rideline grade 2's skill changed halfway through the video haha! I had a silly idea for a custom deck a while back that's gimmick is basically reverse prison. You send your own units to a kitchen set order and can then get effects by sending different card types in certain combinations, as though you are using them for a recipe
That reminds me of that one game in Yugioh GX where hassleberry has to fight the chef whose deck put defeated monsters and spices into a cookpot for a big recipe 😂

Icarus: Seems cool, as long you can't stack too many abilities onto a single unit too quickly or make them nigh un-interactable, it should be fine. Does mean I have to refresh my memory of the Brandt Gate generics abilities. From the recent sets "Bearer of Interstellar Extinction" might be an interesting one or an "Assembled Dragon" to fish out your other Bazaar's. Edit: Oh, Rayvalis [CONT] is generic. Well that's noted. I'm more concerned for the games you get your 2nd bazaar turn 3, Briol the Janitor, is a 20k Booster at to all your attacks for no cost, while your opponents at grade 2. I'm probably being a touch paranoid on that, but I have to be a bit when he could have any number abilities piled on to him. The world of copying abilities is really annoying to balance. Edit: Oh looks like he's been edited... well my concern still stands somewhat I guess. Takumi/Dragonic Knucle: I'd be kind of scared soul blasting in this deck, considering once you hit grade 3 you can't replay Burning Knuckle due to its condition of requiring a "Takumi" vanguard. Not saying that's a bad thing or anything like that, just something to note. Presumably the discarded burn gauges are put to drop, so I am curious what the rebuild looks like for this deck after you discard five (or more) for the restand. Things about the Dragonic Knuckle. 1. While its play condition IS locked to this rideline and while you don't already have one in soul, you can still pop another into it with your other effects, so hurray you could dual, triple or even quad wield it. 2. Would be a generic alternative rideline option for any retire focused deck, just to have the Energy Blast (3) to draw or counter charge a few times. Thankfully the putting Burn Gauge part is not a may, so decks that decks that utilize their drop have to think twice before including it. 3. Remember seeing something similar the Digimon TCG with the Three Musketeer support, so maybe "retire in its effect text" might work as well for the second [AUTO] ability. I'd have to check some things first though. I'm so glad to hear it! Honestly this series started out as a neat idea but seeing the community grow with it makes this so real dude. Great cards all around btw, ngl I've got a bias for Glendios and your customs scratch that it for us Glendios goons!
