Hiii, characterstorm’s here Thanks for reviewing my custom tsukuyomi! OTT is my main and favorite deck. In the original series, at the very last episodes of the season 1 where Misaki fought Asaka, those scenes got me into vanguard. Misaki was so cool!! Then, I started to buy some stuff and build my first vanguard deck, tsukuyomi.
I love the lore here! No wonder these felt so faithful to the OGs given that's what got you into this game of ours lol. Glad to put your work on the thumbnail, it deserves the recognition!
Loved the overall video, gotta say a few things: 1)I wasn't expecting the Diabolos support, as I thought it was going to be support for Viamance Bruce, but I'll take any Bruce support and day, as it was the first deck I feel in love with in the D series, next to Youthberk. 2)I also loved the Tsukuyomi cards, for a couple of reasons. First off, it's an encounter rideline/set of cards, which I love instantly. Secondly, it retains V, G, and OG skills which can be difficult, as we have discussed in the Discord DMs. Finally, there are effects involving the trigger zone with I think there should be more of personally and I think the creator did a good job on them. Now, the card about being checked/placed in the Trigger Zone is probably that of "Royal Miko of the Moon Bow, Tsukumiori" her effects are as follows: [CONT](Trigger zone):This card is regarded as a trigger unit instead of a normal unit. [AUTO]:When this card is revealed for your drive check, choose one of your vanguards, until end of turn, it gets [Power] +10000, [COST][Counter-Blast 1], and it gets [Critical] +１. 3)Speaking of our DMs about Custom Cards, still working on them, just not having the right time and not sure if you got my new messages about the cards that I posted and you reviewed earlier in the series.
Ah nice, Bruce is a pretty cool first deck for standard all things considered, felt pretty rewarding to play. Ah right that's the card thanks for the reminder! Speaking of reminder yeah those messages flew right by me I'll try to get to them soon lol
I like the design of the ninja of sun and moon lore wise but to many match up relies on that grade 3 condition to make fair like bushi is not letting any design counter divine skills but fixing it feels easy like these cards grades is added up at the start of some turn so cards that say if opponent V is grade 3 or greater aren’t screwed
Ah yup that'd 100% make it fair! Would be cool to get something like this irl, would really expand on the idea of a vanguard in a way we haven't seen before in the game (aside from cards like tillapse I suppose).
I designed a Diabolos card, funny enough, almost exact name too! i originally made it for only Violence Bruce, but i changed it for also viamance so you can use some of the older ACT ability cards that require you to be in final rush. Diabolos Counter, Anthony G2 10000P 5000S ACT(RC):If your vanguard is a grade 2 or greater unit with “Diabolos” in its card name, [ EBlast(3) & put this unit, and a card from your hand into your soul ], reveal one grade 3 card from your ride deck with “Bruce” in its card name, and ride it as Stand. If you did not reveal a card, search your Deck for up to one card with “Diabolos” in its card name, reveal it and put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck. If your opponent’s vanguard is grade 3 or greater, you “Final Rush” until end of your opponent’s turn.
The sun and moon twin vanguard stuff is cool. I just don't like it shut down decks that rely on your opponent being grade 3 or higher. Really like the Tsukuyomi stuff. Not that good with OTT, but I always like deck manipulation in Vanguard. Caardian is amazing, I really love the Kamen Rider vibe this gives off and the entire rideline and support give it so much justice (Too bad it's not the same with buddyfight's version of Caardians....😢) The Diabolos stuff is almost perfect. And I say almost because I am the most iffy with Dire. The first and last skill are great but the second skill is what rubbed me the wrong way. I'm fine with an attack redirect skill. It's just that Dire can also redirect a vanguard's attack which I don't think most units with a redirect skill do and probably for a good reason. Also you can have multiple Dire in a field. Now I know Eternity Chaser is a thing, but at least he had a cost and need to reach power condition and it only affects rear guards.
Huh point taken, Dire might be TOO good for tanking, although something tells me it's not very abusable to the point of absurdity but in testing it could just be a dumb card 😂
Don't have a lot to say this time cause their editing session was last week and fixed some of the issue mentioned. They are no longer my #6 dubious design gimmicks, the ASMR idols have retaken their spot however. Decided I wanted to include Sulill and Lunalli mainly because I wanted some critique on the vanguard splitting effect wording. Which is something I'm always tinkering away at, but never quite sure with. Staying as grade 2 is a recent attempt at something different however. Like two weeks before posting them recent. Them being normal grade 3's with Twin Drive and Persona ride has never quite fit flavor wise nor with their theme. I still have to include a crest or something similar for certain problem solving text though (some noted in the review), along with reworking their A.T. forms slightly. Anyway good critiques, thank you very much. And thank goodness you remembered to not click on those links. I'd have been mildly annoyed if ya did. By the way... Other options I had among new things I'm working on but did not pick to include... The Ah-counting Dragon, THE LAMPS, Glacial Rail, The pursuant ninja, Gourmet Wild's, Soil sampling gone awry, Boom Kaboom, Bicycle! Bicycle!, "I'm NOT a mermaid,", "Great Thief?" and Stance Beetles: The Second Coming.
On the Caardian cards. I think I fought the guy who made them. It was so long ago. I can't remember what a thought about them, but I think back then they were still too strong to fight against, but now after DZ, they seem alright.
Interesting, funnily enough I recall briefly entering a custom card battle on Untap and saw these getting played. I only stuck around for a few seconds so I never really got an impression of its power level (and is probably why I didn't recognize it at first lol) but your assessment sounds about right
@@godsman00 Yeah crazyflame (the guy who made them) is a really nice dude, I see him testing custom decks on untap quite often. Me and my friend have a running joke that whenever we return to untap for a change of pace from tabletop sim he always manages to be on at the right time to spectate our game haha.
Hey creator of caardian here, thanks for the review, and I realized they are typos that need fixing,also the bottom thing,yeah this was made before dz so they were less cards to in deck, so it kinda deckout easily, also if you want to be funny you can use bold salos with secret base,and buildian is "If you have a grade 3 base card in order zone".
Nice that there is any base synergy whatsoever, kind of what I wanted for a potential Daiyusha/Hero hybrid but those weren't helpful to each other despite both using a Base 🤣
Based bro. Heroes are honestly one of those archetypes that could keep getting new support and I'd never not welcome it just to see them add more cool art and ways to expand the base gimmick. Ngl they're strong too I'd say go for it! But yeah Caardians are low key peak lol, making me look a Youth a little differently too 🤣

I'm still watching the video through but I just wanted to talk about the twins from hedgehog. I feel like there are some very cool ideas here, but the fact that they have the "um actually" clause of being able to shut down grade 3 restricted skills, like you said, feels unfair. Its kind of a shame because this would inevitably (if this deck was real) just garner a lot of bad blood within the community towards this deck, purely because it would be so boring to play against for specific people - which kind of wastes the very cool card design behind the strange ruling. Not to mention the fact that some of these skills were a little bit overtuned, I'd have to say I preferred Agrios. Not only in the card design, but just by personal preference I thought the story behind him was very compelling as well. This is not to say I think these cards were bad, the bar was just set very high with the hungry boi haha. If the creator sees this I just want to say, and of course you don't have to take anything I say seriously, but I just want you to be less hard on yourself! I saw you rating the Agrios cards a 7/10 in a previous comment section, dude they were incredible! And the ideas here were amazing as well, just a few kinks that can be easily fixed is all.
I put the twins in there because I wanted them to be critiqued. Any feelings or Idea's I can gather from this are well worth it. If Agrios was 80% of the way there, this version of the twins here are about a 30% by comparison. Last week I bit the bullet and started to iron it out in earnest though. Putting "When this unit attacks, if this units grade is 4" on a grade 2 along with their crest has been weird even by my standards. Glad you enjoyed Agrios. Don't worry about the 7/10, that was me being my own devil's advocate rather than truly being hard on myself. Hope you enjoy these two decks when I release them in full along with their A.T. forms, hopefully later this year.
Keep it to 12 period if ya can, doing it in batches like that still cumulatively takes up way too much screentime to one guy even if it's technically in different vids y'know?
