Let there be light!! Fixing the broken lighting system on my cheap e46 

@TheSaemiProduction @TheSaemiProduction I have absolutely no idea; it's really bad. The previous owner drove the Nordschleife on these rims. I wouldn't use them under any circumstances because of how dangerous it would be. I'm not sure if the previous owner caused the cracks since he didn't have the car for long, and it has been through a lot. The subframe is cracked over 8 cm... so there's plenty of content coming your way :)

Hi. Danke für die Infos :) Ich wusste das noch gar nicht aber ergibt Sinn. Weist du denn auch warum die masseverbindung durchbrennt. Mein alter e46 hatte das problem nicht und kenne auch niemanden der das schon hatte:/

@@DailyDrivenClasssics Das mit der Masseverbindung hatte ich mal bei einer E46 VFL Limo. Möglich, daß es beim FL behoben wurde, mein 320d hat es nämlich nicht. Das liegt wohl angeblich daran, daß die Pins zu schwach ausgelegt sind und deshalb warm werden und verbrennen. Workaround ist im Rücklicht eine Ader anzulöten und es am nächsten Massepunkt anzuschließen. Aber lange genug lassen, damit man noch den Lampenträger rausbekommt.

Schauen wir mal was die Zukunft bringt. Ich werde wahrscheinlich auf LED Rückleucten umrüsten. Erstens sehen die besser aus und 2tens wird der massepin damit nicht wieder durchbrennen wenn ich ne neue steckverbindung anschliesse :)

Thanks:) If i wanted to do that i would probably hook them up with the parking lights themselves. Theres also ways to hook them up to the light module so that they are always on. Theres also ways to install them so that they only light up when you unlock the car etc... but i prefer them on a switch :)
