Spoilers on how to deal with a bracken: Everyone says don't stare at it, only look and run away, but they never explain why. The reason you do this is because the bracken can kill you whenever it feels like it. It is stronger, faster, and smarter than you, but it wants to make that last one clear. It makes a game out of killing you. The bracken tries to sneak up on you and snap your neck, but if you look at it, it will realize its plans have been foiled and run away to come back later and try again. However, if you see it and it doesn't run away, it starts to feel cornered. And like any creature with its back to a wall, it starts to lash out. So, if you look at it and don't run away, it will charge you, and once it reaches this point, there is nothing you can do to stop it from spinning your head 180 degrees.
@@tombkings6279 I think it's just having it attack if the player stares at it for a specific amount of time, and to back away if the player stops staring before it hits that time and begins to leave.
@@tombkings6279 Each player has a radial to denote vision if the braken is in that radial it enters a passive state for a X amount of time if its still in the radial it goes into aggressive state aka red braken and attacks those that are tagged from looking at it too long other then that it goes into a retreat state till it's no longer in the area the players are in after that it goes back into its hunting state.
No sound, blend in perfectly in darkness, only way to identify its presence is by either noticing 2 white floating dots turning around a corner, or having a contrast light to properly track it.
Was literally playing lastnight with some friends when I had the scariest bracken encounter ever. The mfer set up a trap for me, right as I looked down to grab a jar of pickles, I look up and hes right infront of me, then ran away. I havent screamed so hard in awhile lol
