Hey there, I was wondering if this is 2 greens or 1. I'm new to Optavia and dontt understand. The recipe is saying 1 green. That is, if you are diving by the 4 servings. Where is the other green, if you dont mind my asking.
Hi Mrs. Melissa, I’m very green to cooking. I was raised by my dad and TV dinners are what I grew up on. What size is the glass dish you put the lasagna ingredients in? I will more than likely have to buy. Looks very good. Appreciate all you L&G videos. I started with your quiche and I had that for thanksgiving and everyone wanted it! Haha! I’ve made it since then. It’s amazing how my stomach has adapted to foods I hated. Eggs - they don’t agree with me. Egg beaters, no issue. I’m like your husband. I am picky. But I like the sweet bell peppers. I’m allergic to tomatoes but I’m not having such a bad reaction as I’ve had in the past. There are many more I could name. I just keep an open mind and a hungry tummy. Bless you Mrs. Melissa 💗
Your videos inspire me to cook and you make it so simple! 8x8 dish. Dang it, don’t have one, yet. One you say this is one serving - how do you know? Do you weigh the piece you cut? Sorry for the questions.
@@markellmessmore440 absolutely weigh your proteins and greens for your Lean and Green. But in a casserole it’s hard to be precise so I try to get it as evenly divided as possible. Sounds like you have an excellent coach!!
I will have to try this. Lasagna is my husband’s favorite food! I would add some thinly sliced zucchini to it but that’s just me. I am making for the first time Big Mac in a bowl for dinner tonight. My family is eating healthy along with me 😃. I love to cook and this has me thinking outside the box on to make old favorites even healthier. Hit 19 pound loss today. In just 5 weeks?! I am looking forward to seeing hitting my goal but that is another 70 pounds more to go!
You are doing amazing!! You have the right idea too! This is forever, not temporary. We have to truly change our habits if anything is going to truly change😉 I hope y’all love the lasagna and thank you so much for watching❤️
Melissa, you are right!! This one is so good and simple to make and the family loves it too!! One of my favs also!! Thanks for the demo!! Hello to Scott and the pups!! Take care and God bless and keep the videos coming!! :)
Love watching your Lean & Green cooking videos, hope you’ll do more! I follow Sandy’s Kitchen Adventures but seeing the recipes come to life just adds a little more to it. Not to mention, there are just not enough Lean & Green recipe demos!
@@theginghamgirl772 So I have a question. I know the recipe called for the lean ground beef but I used the 96/4 % and not the 93, and I was 1/4 cup short on my mozarella cheese for the topping. So how do I account for the difference? It was super amazing, so meaty!
@@Robynmck62 I use the 96/4 also so I add a healthy fat, usually dressing on my salad. The cheese goes toward your lean so just add a little protein elsewhere, or you could probably add a little more if the other cheeses.
Great video and I was just telling my husband the same thing that when I start maintenance in Dec I will continue to cook healthy! Habits of Health!! I love eating this way and will probably always have my favorite bar, pudding and brownies! . Thank you for doing these videos.
You and your husband are such a cute couple! Thank you so much for sharing this. I can't wait to try it out. This will be a good meal to share with my husband. One question, what could I use in replacement of the ricotta cheese? I don't care for the flavor. Would it work out to just add more mozzarella?
I agree with Sheri, I would substitute cottage cheese as well. You just need to make sure the macro counts match the ricotta😊 thanks so much for watching❤️
I'm on the 5 and 1, I veganized this recipe and omg it is so delicious! I'm eating it right now (3rd night in a row) and I made extra for tomorrow. I used seitan ground "beef" (1 leanest), 2 chao cheese slices per serving (1 slice = 1 healthy fat), and I omitted the ricotta, egg beaters, and parmesan. Thank you so much for the recipe!
