Petition for Dire to make vanilla let's play season with vanilla farming and everything. I'm convinced this will be equally fun at this point. (Also fricking hilarious)
Micro Missiles from Pneumatic Craft are pretty good homing missiles that travel through water and can home in on targets (and you can configure them ingame for the balance between speed, maneuverability and power)
Let me get this straight. Needed mythic botania, to improve armour, to fight guardians, to get sponge, to get dimlet, to get fluorite, to improve uranium processing, to feed reactor, to get nuclear waste, to process into polonium, and thence antimatter. Antimatter being what is needed to progress further in mekanism.
And? You could make a similar point on episode 1 "You mean I have to punch trees so that I can get wood so that I can make an axe so that I can get wood faster and to make a pickaxe so that I can get stone so that I can make a stone pickaxe so that I can get iron so that I can make an iron axe to get me wood faster and an iron pickaxe so that I can get diamonds so I can make a diamond axe that gets me wood faster"
@@ockerspock3432 I think the point being made here is not "we have to accomplish a series of tasks" , but rather "maybe the list of tasks is too long" or "the tasks feel arbitrary or too loosely connected for what we're trying to accomplish". The main difference between their and your example is that the tasks from yours flow relatively naturally from one to the other, while gathering sponge in order to get more antimatter seems strange, if not a little absurd, right?
The reason the skeleton took so long to die is that it was the flowers, not the mob grinder, that killed him. You still haven't fixed the fan issues from the very first episode with the mob farm. There is an area where mobs are free to walk sideways becayse the opposite fans cancel each other out, so it is not guaranteed that they will all go dead center in the room...
Dire, you could use Mekanisms Oredictionificator to convert one type of ore into another mods variant. ie: Deepslate Fluorite into regular Fluorite. or FTB industrial uranium into Mekanism Uranium (case there's no FTB Industrial ore Dimlets)
You can just break LOS with the guardians and they wont shoot you. Also, while their spikes are out they deal thorns like damage to you. Oh, and the guardians just spawn there, nothing stops them.
Just so you all know before you do it, the deepslate version of ores does not work with RFTooldimension's block absorber. It'll bug out the absorber, and there is no oredict translation for it in the dimension editor.
Still it would be better for him to create ocean dim Filled with fluids used to make fissile fuel and use hose pulley from create for Infinite fluid which he would then just convert back to gas
Ender Inhibitor, if you have issues like Direwolf20 is having with all the endermen, stick an Ender Inhibitor on your mob farm, prevents them from teleporting in an 8 block radius
My solution to the guardian temple was a ranged explosion spell with 3 amplify and the rest AOE. I just spammed it and nuked everything that moved. The temple stayed intact thanks to the elder guardian mining fatigue debuff.
I love dire but he really needs to Google more often to see that sponge blocks just spawn in the water obviously you can get them off Guardians but that seems like so much extra work lol.
@@NeedForMotivationn You can't make the dimlet without the knowledge that is required, which he researched the block absorber to get. The dimlet was locked in the dimlet creator until he did that.
There is a mod in the pack that prevents you from breaking any blocks in the monument until the elder guardians are killed. I assume that's what he meant
@@paperweight_ which is basically what happens in Vanilla regardless. Mining fatigue 3 and being underwater makes it practically impossible to break blocks.
@@codycraig8805 in vanilla that's true, but you can still tnt your way in in vanilla. An exchanging gadget would still work instantly, for example, if the mod wasn't protecting the blocks (I'm assuming this is true, but there are probably other ways of bypassing the mining fatigue also)
Milk would also be an option if you just needed to rush in, gather sponges and get out again... I always forget the vanilla option! (If the blocks weren't protected, I mean...)
@@paperweight_ do we know FOR SURE that the blocks are protected? Or is a mod just telling you you're not able to break blocks until the elder guardians are killed, which is essentially what happens in Vanilla. Dire is obviously a little misinformed on some vanilla mechanics, I can see how he could've easily misunderstood this and jumped to the conclusion that a mod was at work and not actual vanilla mechanics
I've only tackled a monument once, in vanilla, years ago. Not sure if anything has changed, but the are a couple of rooms filled with sponges. And the regular guardians will keep spawning in. And, can you not use /back to go back to where you were? Or is that too cheaty?
No, you’d basically have to drain entire area through the sponge process. Sometimes the retools builder works for voiding fluid, and various other pumps, but you’ll likely be left with lots of cleanup.
I swear dire couldve just made a few max size rftools builders with fortune quarry cards and been fine on uranium and flourite, but no he has to go manually move a digital miner around every episode.
0:50 It's vanilla to not be able to mine in the underwater temples. The elder guardians give you mining fatigue, killing them does not remove it, you need to wait for it to wear off. They will keep re-applying it so long as they exist, though. Once you remove all 3, you can mine; which is useful, because there is a room that generates in the temple that is literally FULL OF SPONGES, probably more sponges than you would ever need in the pack.
A mod added a message that previously told dire that he can’t break the blocks without killing all three. It’s also vanilla to chug milk to bypass mining fatigue.
Silly Dire not knowing vanilla. Temple Guardians inflict like... mining fatigue 10 on you, that's why you can't break stuff normally. Couple dwith being underwater, you aren't breaking anything.
@@nobodycares9778 i did write the comment at about 21 mins in but i didnt see him pick it up or say anything about. if i missed something please let me know
I just wanted to let you know that FTB launcher wont let me play your pack and it really isn't cool that I can't find it anywhere else. I don't see the point of not letting it be on curseforge. I can't even get it to work with Multimc since ftb and curse desided they oWnEd modded minecraft. Very sad but i guess you gotta make that money.
Not being able to mine at the water temple is NOT a thing added by a mod. It's vanilla. You should be getting Mining Fatigue III until the Elder Guardian has been defeated
In previous versions of FTB, if you were quick you could mine straight into the top of the temple, to kill the first guardian, before you got mining fatigue, not in this version, you can't even place a torch or door & it disables flight.
Use tnt to break the blocks in the 3 locations of the elder guardians one in each wing and one on the top, use slime blocks to create walls to block line of site from the guardians as you can punch them to break and they are not affected by mining fatigue 😀 vanilla tactics 🤣🤣 All the time you are in the hit box of the temple and there is water the guardians will continue to spawn
I mean, there presumably are still _some_ kind of rules; it's just that those rules are "yes, there are guardians, _so_ many guardians, they will never stop so just don't try."
