Thank you for sharing the scientific names and grow patterns on some of these acros.

Veeeeery nice! The "Tyree Blue Matrix" is an Acropora hoeksemai. 17:52 You just can't run any LEDs on full spectrum". It's just a "whiter light". 😜 Gotta LOVE ACROS!

I always love the story behind the coral. I think it is important that we remember where and who they came from.

It's nice to see a video just showing off colonies. While some of these have photos online, it's uncommon in the hobby to show the grown out specimen, especially with video. Sometimes when shopping for sps I wish it was easier to get an accurate idea of the coral in person, so thanks for so many great examples!

Hello Keith. Always a pleasure to see your acropora collection. May you put turbo snail and euplica snails in your frag system. This snails make my frag plugs and rock always so clean. This two kinds of snails make baby snails from time to time and thats great.

Great video Keith! I agree completely about the homewrecker. Have you noticed more green under your LEDs or the Halides? Always curious about that red spectrum of the Halides if it has an affect.

@@Alex_Correa The corals in 2 of the 3 tanks are under halides....the other one is LED's.

@Alex_Correa Год назад
@@ReefBum So that system under LEDs is separate from the rest, not connected in any way, right? Chemistry can also play with differences then, besides flow.

I got my email for the sale. The picture on the email was the same as this thumbnail. That purple monster. I beef reefing for over 20 years but just started to do acros seriously. As much as I want that purple monster I don't think I'm ready for it. I know that one will be expensive. I may not be ready now but as long as you have some that I can buy in the future I'm good. When I started in this hobby years ago this was the first jaw dropping acro since everything was brown back then.
@ReefBum

Yes, EXPERTS only for the PM. It grows so slow and that increases the odds that something can happen to it.

Keith, out of curiosity. Any chance you still have a colony of Lokani hiding in the back? was reading an article you posted a few years ago, after seeing pictures of a Lokani colony online. And it's proving quite difficult to find one.
@ReefBum
@ReefBum Год назад
I had that Lokani in my old tank in Connecticut.....after I broke that tank down I took a break from the hobby for a couple of years after I moved up to Vermont. So no Lokani.

Mr Keith! What adhesive do you use to attach your coral to the plugs? It’s white and seems to have corals encrust over.

This is the 2-part epoxy I am using: www.amazon.com/Instant-Ocean-HoldFast-Aquarium-HF-1/dp/B001JSXBYO?tag=reefbum1-20. I also use super glue underneath and on top of the epoxy to make sure the frag is locked onto the plug: www.amazon.com/Gorilla-105801-Super-1-Pack-Clear/dp/B08QR2XRKD/ref=sr_1_3_pp?tag=reefbum1-20

@@ReefBum I've never used that one. Does coralline algae grow on that epoxy? Must be great to put rocks together as well. Have you tried to bind rocks with that? Great price too! I've tried Gorilla glue and I didn't like as much as Loctite. I should try Gorilla again. Thanks, Keith!!
@ReefBum
