I've loaded my TPM1 with aluminum balls that are the same weight as riot balls. I hope that I never have to use them and if I have to, I want to make sure it counts before resorting to my lethal options.

you can have a long barreled pistol (real firearm) in the uk that shoots actual bullets.

@@suckmygme-darck9996 hey brother, yeah, I think I’ve actually finally mastered where to fire through that chronograph. I’m gonna be picking up another handheld version though pretty quick, which has an audio trigger for each shot. That should make things a little easier as well :-)

Given those choices, and assuming price isn’t a barrier, go with the Glock with the modded magazine. They are very well built. Also, they have the widest range of accessories. I’d say the Walther would come in a close second.

I'd imagine they're all the same, and which one you get would depend on what firearm you are using this to train for. I'm a Glock guy, and despite not being a fan of the grip angle & feel, I've got three-- so this model would make the most sense for me (I'd still have & stipple the grip to match mine though). If you just want one for how comfy the grip feels and naturally the weapon points for you, then the S&W or Walther would be your better bet.

Greets!! Funny you should ask. I had a customer that actually bought the new Glock 17. He lives out in the country. A couple of weeks ago we had two foxes attacking one of his feral cats. He fired the pepper ball at the Fox and hit them broadside. The pepper ball exploded and the fox jumped about 3 feet in the air. Then, the fox started flopping on the ground for about 20 minutes yipping and whining. His partner, came over to see what was wrong, got a nose full of the pepper spray as well and started flopping on the ground. He said that when they could finally get up, they ran up the hill and he hasn’t seen them since. So I guess the crux of the story is, they are fantastic against animals :-)

@@chriszimmerman9737 the no extra mag is a bummer, other than that I'm using aluminum rounds and it feels real, quality, the case it came in was fine, I don't need different grips, came with a silicone bore cleaner, mags from umarex are backorder forever so with only one mag it's a minus, mag stayed charged all day even in the holster although I don't want to push it, personally I would try something less popular from umarex and lighter for 43cal

Good evening. My understanding is the t4e pistols are not meant to be home defense pistols. They're more for training primarily for law enforcement. They don't need a lot of power to do that and the most I've seen one obtain is just under eight joules shooting riot balls solid aluminum 1.9 grams. That is without any modifications , there are apparently some , but it seems like we don't really read about any showing actual results . They must be done correctly from what I understand and accurately or the 43 caliber pistols will not obtain more power. As you probably know the CO2 cartridge used for those pistols is in the magazine which makes more of a challenge to modify them without having leaks for whatever reason. The hdr68 out of the box means non-modified. They don't have any power near 30 joules unless it has been modified in some manner. However, they have been modified as I have read in that range of 30 joules which is impressive. You probably know other pistols have been modified well beyond 30 joules. If you haven't already checked out grimburg please take a look at their site. You could still hurt somebody seriously shooting them in the face with those t4e pistols depending on what ammunition you have as just under eight joules can still be dangerous or even deadly depending on where the person is hit and the range.However , they need to be modified to shoot through clothing and stop somebody. Again, the t4e 43 caliber pistols are not meant to be used for home defense for the most part although they do sell ammunition and pepper balls etc to help somebody use them in some manner for self-defense. The idea behind less lethal is more about blunt force than it is penetration into the body. You can buy high-powered pellet rifles if you want to put a round through somebody. This is meant to be more like a punch. You probably know that but I just thought I'd mention it. Complete technology solutions is investigating the possibility to modify the t4e 43 caliber pistols for more power. Jon , is wanting to make sure that modifications are reasonable and reliable and just talked about doing a tutorial on exactly that if he feels it is attainable. Law enforcement would not be using riot balls like the aluminum ones I mentioned that weigh approximately 1.9 grams in training as it presents a hazard. Anyway, I hope you have a good night and I agree with most of what you're saying.

Kurt hit the nail on the head. The truth is that the impact of the solid riot balls is very painful but the real power is in the pepper balls and proper shot placement. That comes with practice. You can’t pick up any weapon and expect it to simply “do the job”. You mu get to know the weapon, inside and out, learn how it fires, and learn to use it to its maximum potential. I’m the right hands, any of the .43 cal weapons can be used but practice and training is key. Have a great night!

Hey Brother! If your Walther is 25lbs, theres an issue with the launcher. I have never seen one over 11 and Ive fired a TON of them. The G17 is 8-11 on average.

@@AlternateArmsSD 10% PAVA is crazy high. I’ve seen 10% OC but PAVA is the more pure active ingredient from OC. I tried 2% PAVA recently and it was pretty nasty. Never seen any above 5%. That caliber definitely has it’s place.

@@ScaredyCatTactical Absolutely... I've been experimenting with a 5% mixture with powdered ghost chili and pure capsaicin powder.. It almost seems inhumane though.. Still working on the formula.

@@ScaredyCatTactical I’ve been looking into these percentages, I would suggest staying away from home made rounds personally. If they don’t have a safety data sheet they can provide, I won’t buy em. That’s my policy at least.

@@chriszimmerman9737 Definitely. PepperBall brand are top notch. I go with Live-X which is 5% PAVA. Some of these generic internet brands cannot be trusted and instead try to confuse people by OC percentage which doesn't mean much.

Greetings Brother! Ok, I have had one punctured for over a year BUT I would never count on that as this one is in a controlled environment. However, they do have quick pierce magazines for them that do not puncture until you need them. Also, there is a very easy mod for the magazine that increases the power substantially.

Actually, it feels awesome! The slide locks open when you are out of rounds. a good tip, always charge the launcher before inserting the magazine to avoid damaging the firing pin.

@@reecelxman1762 It means to pull the slide back locking the firing pin into the back position. Need somewhere occasions, if you don’t, you can actually sheer off the tip of the firing pin.

I have not seen any changes in velocity based on color with either the S&W or the PPQ.. I may head-to-head them to verify though. I have heard there are certain mods that can be done but until I'm sure of their efficacy and safety I won't post them... YET.... :)

Generally, you do not want to leave them punctured for extended periods of time due to wear and tear on the seals and environmental conditions (Seals tend to shrink in the cold and expand in the heat). Fortunately, they have "quick piercing" magazines that allow you to keep the C02 installed indefinitely and puncture it when you need it fast.

Greets! They are very similar in build and power. However, the G17 feels more solid. Both of them can use the magazine upgrade spring though so both can be “juiced up”.

Greetings! The TR 50 can be modified to be quite the weapon. :-) As far as the Glock, they do actually have a quick pierce magazine for kit. They have one for all of them (Glock, Smith & Wesson, Walther, and HK.) that allows you to have the cartridge loaded but not pressurized until you need the weapon. The only downside is, you have that quick piercing nozzle at the bottom of the magazine. It’s sort of takes away from the look of the Glock. :)

One mistake when pulling out the valve block and you can send 30 springs going different directions :-) trust me, I’ve done it :-) I have a video on how to do the motto, if you just follow very closely, and go very slow, it’s not that hard. :)

@@malefanematsie3890 Greetings!! Well, the HDR68 modded is a mean machine. The ammo variety is all over the charts as well. The rails give you mounting options for any optics you wish and the .68 cal pepper balls have a LOT of powder in them. That being said, they aren't really practical for day to day carry due to their size. The Glock is the smoothest firing gun I've found to date. They use the exact same accessories as their firearm counterpart and are virtually undisguisable. There are a lot of upgrades per say for the Glock YET but there are some in the works. Day to day, I'd say the Glock. For nightstand or truck defense (Truckers and long-haul folks) Id go with the HDR68 fully modded. Thanks for wathing!

In that instance Id look at the HDP50 modded for maximum power. Huge hits, very accurate, and isn’t pictured until you need it. Also, a more expensive option would be the Byrna or salt supply. Thanks for watching!

Greetings! Welcome to the family! The lubricant I used to use WAS pell gun oil but a viewer (Who happened to be a chemist) told me that the petroleum base could actually damage the seals over time. So I've moved to T4E marker oil. (amzn.to/44CIKFq) I always use a drop on the tip of the C02 to treat the seal and eliminate leakage. I use a silicon based spray just to ensure a nice passage of ammo through the system. A lot of folks use these with aluminum or seven steel rounds and that can take a toll on detents.

@@AlternateArmsSD Ok what I got from that answer is probably a yes its possible, I just loaded my first CO2 EVER in this gun and i put a drop of that CLP it says prevents jamming so why not? Also!!! please answer this question I CANNOT TAKE THE GUN APART????? I want to lube and maintenance it like I do with my knife collection however guns we have to take apart, I unloaded it make sure nothing in chamber even tho its paintball gun and of course took off clip i cocked it back quarter inch but I CANNOT pull the 2 sliders down on each side 1on each side!!!, I notice they said pull the trigger and it has to be on the BACK position but every time I pull it it just resets back to normal? Please help you're the only one who has replied , so thanks a ton!!!, but yeah please I have this last question HOW DO I DISSASEMLE IT???????? I am pretty sure its the only part I cannot do is pull down the 2 sliding things when you cock back the gun a little bit........... how do I make the trigger in the pull position? Primarily it’s because they are heavily democrat run states. They refuse to give people their rights to defend themselves while criminals prowl freely with whatever rights they want…. We are always our own first line of self-defense for ourselves, our families, and our communities.

@@AlternateArmsSD it's very complicated in the US isn't it. All the bad guys have guns as they are easy to come across. Interesting to see how you have to cope in the stricter states when criminals don't follow rules. In the UK criminals only tend to target criminals with firearms, getting caught with one is instantly a 10 to 15 year jail term and they arent easy to come by, even for criminals. I own firearms in the UK and it is not easy and indeed heavily regulated. Using one on a person, even in self defence will result in a court appearance. Although to be fair it has happened and if justified the courts will usually just give a token sentence. I would go for an air rifle or pistol in a larger calibre if I were in your shoes, like a .25 or .30 modified up to 100ft lb or so.

Depends. Some lawyers working for the city, state, or federal might not look too favorably on using a "real" handgun. The user can say that a "non-lethal" option was used to not effect. That justifies stepping up to a "lethal" option. I carry pepper spray & Tasers. If that don't work. My GLOCK 17 or 1911 come out.

@@juicyfruit6311 Yeah, the state of the world is really sad. However, any self-defense option is better than nothing at all. Besides, if you do have to use your actual firearm to defend yourself, and you kill somebody, lay it on the ground, put your hands up, you’re going to jail. You have to go through the entire process which under the current circumstances would greatly suck.

On average it runs 8-12 depending on ammo. I have a potential velocity upgrade I’m looking at.

The Glock is a better built launcher in my opinion but the HK does has a modular grip. I personally prefer the Glock.

Actually, I would indeed. Of the 43 caliber weapons that I have tested, this one is by far the most polished version. Don’t get me wrong, the Walther is a fantastic weapon in its own right. The truth is, you couldn’t go wrong with either one :-) Thanks for watching!

I would personally go with the G17. I’ve had both, but it’s he upgrades with the g17 make it well worth it especially if you are running this for self defense. Just make sure to read up on your laws, especially if you have brandishing laws.

Greetings, the HDP50 is a fantastic, cheap, and highly modifiable weapon. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite items to mod :-) as far as the Walther and the Glock, both of them are absolutely amazing on their own. Each one has their own advantages and disadvantages but honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them.

My guess would be the weight of the rounds I was using. I have a series of ammo tests to put these through in the near future.

No it doesn't.. and I DONT know why not.. I tried this exact experiment last weekend. The TPM1 mag fits in and locks but is off JUST ENOUGH to not allow the trigger pull. Each weapon is just different enough, in my experience, to warrant having to buy separate mags for each. (Which is a shame)

Yeah, I’ve done several tests with the umarex magazines. I’ve had one Walther PPQ punctured for well over a year. Once a month, I will pull it out to fire shot to see if it’s lost velocity and it has not. As long as you treat the seals, and take care of the weapon, you should be fine. That being said, you should also practice with the weapon. That means every couple weeks take it out and fire a few shots, which will mean you will end up changing the CO2 cartridge anyway :-) they will be releasing a quick Pierce magazine for the Glock 17 at some point in the future. They have one for all of the other T4E guns now.

Hey brother, on the stock version there any word from 5 to 7 Joules. After you modify the magazine, you can get them up around 10 without a problem.

@@Schneepflugfahrer Very little man.. There is a mod that can be done but I've heard there are issues. All velocity on them comes from the valve in the magazine. Increasing that flow would be key. Also, the blowback CAN be deleted which puts more air behind the round. Ill be working on a couple ideas in the near future.

@@SuperDelphinidae it’s a damn nice launcher. It feels much better constructed than any other brand. Power wise, they’re all pretty darn close. However, make sure that you mod the magazine right off the bat or, when you buy the launcher, make sure that whoever you buy it from mods the magazine. I’m mod all of the magazines before they leave my shop. It really is the way they should’ve come from the factory :-)

@@AlternateArmsSD Thank you. I guess I need "Umarex .43 Cal T4E Pistol Blow Back Assembly". Yeah, I filled the clip. The slide jammed after a couple shots and I had to rack the slide back and forth and the firing pin came out in two pieces. They won’t send me one. I googled it and after reading comments on you tube I see a few people have had the same problem as me. I found one in the uk but they can’t ship to me. I have all this stuff I got and can’t play with it. I also got the gen 4 gbb and the slide is all scratched up from holstering in just enough times to adjust the holster tension. If you can get me this piece or find someone i will send you money. I will take care of you and pay ti have it overnight shipped

There are not a lot of modifications you can do to this one to increase the power. With this, it’s all about practice. Accuracy and rate of fire are what actually count :-)

Hey listen, you want more joules kinetic energy from your projectile? If you can't increase the speed of the projectile then increase the mass of it. Try using some lead or steel balls/bearings. But beware the effective range will be dramatically decreased.

Hehe Yeah, 35 years in IT Brother. I love technology. I fell into the LTL market about 3 years ago and got hooked.

Go forward a little bit in my video chain and look for the one where I compare all 4 T4e models together after the modification of a magazine. That might give you a little more illumination. Plus, at that point, I rank them based on my favorites :-)

Don’t think you can fire those from these. You need a different barrel if I’m not mistaken? The FSC can shoot D shaped with a diff barrel at least.

@@chriszimmerman9737 The only time I’ve seen those D shaped rounds they were being fired through the revolvers or the shotguns.

@@David_Mash I alternate depending on my clothes. The 68's are a tad more difficult to conceal unless you are wearing loose fitting clothes.

Actually, I’ve done spread pattern tests and come up with a weapon at fires this rate of speed it didn’t make much of a difference. also, it boils down to practice. I cannot emphasize how important is to practice with your weapon enough. You have to learn how it fires, where it fires, and more importantly, proper shot placement.

Actually no. With the smaller diameter of the projectile you get less drop / more flat trajectory so increased effective range. It is kind of similar with the .177 vs .22 diabolo debate.

Over the years I’ve fired many many firearms (Aside from my time in the Army). At the shop, however, I focus on non lethal.

That’s what I was told as well. It makes sense considering there’s no other form of internal lubrication. It does make me wonder that, if you use some sort of lubrication, if you could use pure propane.

@@AlternateArmsSD you definitely can. We had a quick fill adapter on a grill size tank and this was maybe 15yrs ago. I think the silicone is more for the seals.

You can replace the rear site but the front is mounded (or appears to be). However, a good old fashioned laser would be awesome! :)

They are all called “T4E”.. They are fantastic for self defense if used with the correct ammo and with practice.

Well, don’t get me wrong, it’s a damn fine weapon. Larger caliber and no real moving parts is a benefit as it eliminates points of failure.. i’m not sure that would validate almost double price, but it is a good weapon.

@@AlternateArmsSD oh yes please definitely tell me if you know how to ppwertune them. These high end blow back replicas seem way harder to tune than the umarex HD...series. their mechanism is also way easier and a lot more straightforward ...

@@Walem_B In my experience to date, the HDP50 is the easiest to mod by far with the widest range of options. I’m going to build a “tricked out” version :)

@@AlternateArmsSD that's in USD I assume. The super slick guns I was just looking up 43 caliber aluminum rounds apparently they're double the weight of the rubber rounds and they are devastating for the caliber

@@mrstraw153 yeah, the aluminum rounds actually frighten me a bit. Given the fact that they would have a very serious impact, the possibility of actually expanding, and they’re very smooth, means that these might be right on the edge of nonlethal.

@@sandyschupper8401 I actually just removed it from mine. It’s absolutely removable. You can slide it to the left or the right and push it all the way out. The front site, however, is fixed.

@@stevescar3961 if you want the most power, and you’re willing to do a little bit of modification or buy it pre-modded, I’d say the HDP 50. That thing is an absolute canon once you remove all the valve blockage. Take a look at a couple of my videos on the HDP 50. It might be something you’d be interested in. Have a great weekend!

@@AlternateArmsSD (ФωФ)…👍 エアガン、成らばそうですね。 20年位前に規制が出来ました。 私はそれ以前からエアガンマニアでしたので、規制前から楽しんでました。以前は規制が無くてメーカーからも10J以上のエアガンが販売されたりしてましたね。 現在でも、台湾等から少し1Jオーバーした物が入って来てますが… それでもアジアモデルなので1,7j程度ですね。 ヨーロッパモデルは、バレルに樹脂等を注入した状態で、発射不可能状態で輸入されます。 樹脂を拭き取るのは、難しい事では無くて、拭き取り使用し者が規制犯罪と成ります。 販売元は、使用不可能で販売して居るからでセーフなんです。 なので、日本国内にも、数多くハイパワーのエアガンは有ります。 殆んどのガンマニアが持ってます。 私も…👍笑笑

@@AlternateArmsSD (ФωФ)…👍 調べて見ましたが、やはりペイントボールの場合はエアガンとは違う規制の様です。 43（11mm）成らば約3J近くまでは大丈夫な様です。 もっと言うと、日本ではペイントボールが其れほどメジャーでは無いので、輸入時のチェックが甘くて規制以上の物も普通に入って居る状況ですね。笑笑 今後、ペイントボールが広く認知されて来ると、厳しく成りそうです。

Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about either one. The Byrna does fire a larger round (but less per magazine). The Glock has a smaller round but has an 8 round magazine. The Glock is great with pepperballs. Be sure that you are using a 5% PAVA round or better and your good. The Glock is much easier to find accessories for (any Glock 17 gen 5 accessory will fit it). The Glock is physically smaller but a bit heavier.

Just to throw my two cents in since I own 2 Byrna... The Byrna is a great choice, but it's not something you can easily fit in purse when your out and about unless your carrying an large purse according to my wife. While it does fire a larger round .68 compared to the .43 rounds on the Glock, either will stop an attacker in their tracks when you hit them with Kinetic or Pepperball rounds. The Glock looks to be easier to slip into a normal size purse or a discreet holster where the Byrna's holster is kinda chunky on the hip. Both are great and it really comes down to what you feel will work best for you. Whichever you get, make sure you spend a lot of time practicing with it so using it will come naturally.

Only the ones that were designed specifically for the Glock17 will fit it. However, they can be modified, which gives them considerably more power.

@CompleteTechnologySolutions I like the new one cuz you didn't need to have an allen wrench you can do it by hand I was wanting to get a new one to put it in my old Glock 17.. thank you for responding
