The Springs are a Good Start, but to get the Absolute Max Power....you Need a Slightly Longer Valve Pin to stick outside the Back Plate about a 16th of an inch,and a Stronger Hammer Spring inside the Frame (Not the Valve Spring). With a Strong Hammer Spring...the Hammer will hit the Valve Pin down Deeper which Holds the Valve Open Longer to Release More co2. That is the Formula. You are onto Something Good.

Oh yeah, I've also located a few "air leakage" areas that could be corrected as well. This is the start of these upgrades :)

Just by drilling out the holes on the valve and stronger hammer spring. We hit almost 400fps with 1gram riot balls. I installed a weaker spring when I serviced the mag and it hits even harder. 7.something joules with hammer and hole mod. Weaker spring should bump this up... Will chrono whenever I get a chance. Cannot get heavier ammo in SA beside ball bearings 🙆🏽

@@reaperairdefence932 Yeah, at 1gram I'm thinking these are going to hit 400+ pretty easily. Pepperballs typically weigh less that 1 gram anyway which makes this a MUST mod for these. Juiced with that hammer srping, these might hit closer to 500FPS.. Now by creative brain is flowing ;)

Always enjoy testing markers back to back. The consistency with the heavier balls just isnt there. Its higher albeit but boltless markers like these T4e are much more consistent with lighter balls as your test showed. Its not wrong but i would prefer to know the shots are traveling at a much similar speed. Moving a heavy ball from a dead stop with limited charge air just isnt ideal.

Agreed, the pepperballs are a true test in my opinion and they flat book out of these after this mod. I have a test in mind.. So many video ideas...So little time :)

Thank you for the knowledge sir about to purchase the walhter ppq and use it as for self defense. I got alot of ppl telling me its not enough firepower? Looking forward to upgrading that as soon as i get it

@@ZacharyHernandez-wd9bv The T4E line are great launchers. They are on the lower end of the power spectrum compared to the others. Be sure to use a high quality pepper round as well. Be safe out there.

on most of my ol school mods from way back involved making pin easier to push in to release more co2 , then you need to make hammer heavier to invoke the inertia forces , you need to make hammer hit a lot faster and harder , when hammer is down all the way see if the pin is pushed in all the way , i would add a screw or something else to add material to the front of the hammer ,and fitting the ammo to barrel etc. . the things i have done with a red ryder ,daisy 880 , crosman vigilante , crosman 1077 , and a few others would blow some peoples minds lol . for the last 7 months i been really working hard on the umarex hdp and hdr's !!! i tell you JON , this is really fun working with and modding these markers . until we can get at least 20 joules from these .43 cals , im trying my best to stay away from them lol !!! nice show my brother !!!

It’s looking like close to 10 depending on the ammunition you use.. we are working on another upgrade as well. They get better all the time :)

With 1.9 gram balls, they shoot 290 down to 277 out the box. I dont understand why you guys are saying that the spring gave you more fps.

Because they simply don't. I have tested MANY different types of ammo in EVERY one of these since they were released. With 1.9-2.1 you will consistently see the 240-260 range. Dropping to a pepperball you will see 335ish stock. Trust me man, I have tested extensively, and this mod DOES increase the power output. Thanks for watching!

@@Unus_mundus_ Its ok man, the box ratings on weapon are generally quoted using a very light round for higher velocity. Actually, that's NOT a bad thing.. If a person is using a pepperball, they are going to get that 400+ FPS and it WILL rupture on impact.

Have been watching your channel for awhile. Great videos and the mod. Would the mod help with stopping or slow someone down with just kinetic? I live in state that do not allow pepper balls. Any kinetic round .43 that would take good punch?

The key to using these in that scenario is shot placement which boils down to practice. Otherwise, I’d go with a modded hdp50, byrna, Grimburg, salt supply, or tr50.

I have…. It’s a great weapon BUT you can get the same power (and more) out of both the 7.5j and 11j version after the mods. I have videos up on them.

Is there a list somewhere of Umarex Launchers with piercing mechanism for the CO₂? I know another company makes a few that has piercing mechanism for the CO₂ when you start to pull the trigger on the first shot... does Umarex make something similar or only the ones that you strike the bottom to pierce it?

Umarex doesn’t have a trigger charge mechanism yet. There are several companies that do but they have adopted one. I’m sure they will at some point though.

I want to do.the upgrade 6.99 dollars a spring...i got 4 t4e markers 2 glocks 4 mags total for both so 2 each then i got a vp9 and a ppqm2 blue one both 3 mags each so id need a total of 10 springs about 70 dollars plus tax when on sale but its 9.99 normally is it worth the upgrade does it mess up the magazine? I might have you have to do all the upgrades i dont want to mess em up lol

Greetings, that’s a reasonable question. When I first started the channel, it was all about technology. Retro, current, and future tech. In the world of nonlethal self-defense, there’s a great deal of technology involved. From time to time, I still go back to my computer routes and do other videos as well. In fact, I’m already preparing a new series that revolves around retro gaming systems.

For day to day, I’d suggest a Byrna or a modified HDP50 (the latter being more powerful and more cost effective. You can use the T4 launchers if you would like however, they lack the same amount of punch you’re going to get out of these two.
