In every episode You complain about not having enough resources, but in this version of DW20 modpack you have another magic mod, Occultism. Make a Dimensional Mineshaft, place magic lamp with mining spirit inside and you will get automated ore collection system.
Took me an hour or two to get a digital miner setup with its own reactor, still need to get items sent back to my base, but the thing has basically made mining unnecessary.
The disenchantment table breaks the sword so it can’t be enchanted again. Forcecraft only allows you to enchant an item once. And that flag does not get reset from the disenchantment table. So while the enchantment was removed, the force infuser still reads it as if it was enchanted
I can understand it only wanting the items to be enchanted once, IF it didn't require you to do a certain amount of infusions to progress. Low tier infused items immediately become trash, just wasting resources to progress. Should be slot based, allowing you to add more as you unlock slots and still count each added item to the progression. That is kinda how it looks like it is anyway, just from a visual perspective.
@@alfonsoalonzo He does, it's just that he pre-records these, sometimes a month or two ahead of time. So posting now about this video when it was made in a batch to be released over a month or longer just means it's too late. He's on to the next batch.
I would like to suggest the Ender Drawers from Functional Drawers. If you want to make cakes in one room and always supply the drawer in your Botania area you can link the two together and always be able to check in one place if your Botania area has cakes or not.
21:56 Grindcore is an extreme fusion genre of heavy metal and hardcore punk that originated in the mid-1980s, drawing inspiration from abrasive-sounding musical styles, such as thrashcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, extreme metal, and industrial.
Functional storage drawers can push or pull items from adjacent blocks with an upgrade, my favorite function ever, I've had a little trouble with it on mass, but it makes setups so much smaller
Upgrade Cores are broken. To make Upgrade Cores: 1. Put a Force Rod and an Experience Tome(with at least 100 xp) in the AE2 crafting grid 2. Quit to title 3. Log back in and craft the cores. Note: You can only craft however many cores you want at once. To craft more later, just repeat.
Considering the likely NBT related shenanigans blocking re-enchanting, i imagine there's some underlying issue related to the rod or book not giving the correct information after being handled by user, but on world reload it loads some default/non-player related information which allows it to function.
As a note to everyone just starting, you can only mix infusions when you infuse it the FIRST time, otherwise you have to go back and forth to an anvil in order to mix infusions from one tier to the next. And yes, you HAVE to have a new item each time, something about the Forcecraft infuser is buggy when you put a disenchanted item in there after it was already infused- I suspect it has something to do with the NBT tags that it adds to the item. It IS possible though to mix and match infusions (like making a heated lumberjack axe that has sturdy on it so that you get charcoal or force coal every time you chop down a tree).
According to another comment, this is a known bug. Forcecraft adds NBT, and the disenchanter doesn't know to remove the NBT along with the enchantment.
since modpacks stopped using quarry many years ago, there was always another quarry... but it is called Builder, u just put quarry card in it to quarry. turtles are only good in multiplayer to break protected blocks xD
@@mitjapintar4609 Eh, I'm not a huge fan of the builder. I find it takes way too much power for the amount of resources provided. As for turtles, they're still useful in single player, but definitely better for servers.
Dire: makes a large room for Botania Also Dire: crams all of Botania into a corner I love seeing the integration of many mods for a purpose. I'd like to see more integration and more intro to mods. I tell people new to the modpack and modded that this is a good pack to explore mods; however, it's not really friendly to those who don't know where to start and what to do. I'd like to see a guide as to where a newb would start with all the options.
See, that's the difference between the old and new direwolf; old one had complex packs but explains everything, the new one barely explains shit at all; not to mention he's no longer giving out world downloads, which for novices, are a godsend
@@111riffi With kids and family responsibilities Dire doesn't have anywhere near the time to play he used to, I count us lucky to still get an episode every day.
@@SummitSummit What? IC2Classic is out for 1.19, and regular IC2 has unstable 1.18 and 1.19 releases being worked on for both fabric and forge that was just updated a couple months ago. The curse page doesn't have any of those because dumping unfinished messes for the sake of appearance is stupid, but its still very much an alive and active project. You just have to check the IC2 forums or Jenkins repository for up-to-date information.
Someone may have mentioned this, but if you drop the flower apothecary down one and make it a part of an infinite water source, you don't have to refill it.
Yes. I'm just trying to remember if it was this obnoxious back then. I had given up on it in this pack, figuring the mod was broken, but seeing Dire struggle the same way I did is making me wonder if it's intentionally this stupid.
@@SummitSummit Nah, its a current edition being broken thing. It was pretty solid back in the old days, aside from its force pipe buildcraft compat item being fucky and an occasional issue with its clipboard.
Oh no, is it time for a 2x2 of Tick Torches by Botania setup so mana doesn't take 5 years to accumulate? Only downside to Botania which is why I absolutely loved the one addon item that lets you convert other fluids or use the black lotus. On that note anyone remember having to farm with Daybloom and Nightshade? Bats and Squids have the strangest spawn "rules". Some places I expected to find them (in dark caves for example) and found nothing but I find a small 8x4 cave and found 3 bats. Minecraft just listens to your brain and if you so much as think about something it hides it on you. If you click the question mark in the top right it should show you an outline of the item you need. Back in the day we didn't have a great JEI integration to show what is what so looking at a nugget outline you had to guess which one. Unless it changed you have to make new tools (basic types plus the rod) for each unlock. A force tree farm is what was required for progression in the day. I don't believe you can recycle the old tools, I remember using a lava "trashcan" a LOT when playing it. I also remember the rainbow sheers being so much fun.
I'm replaying Blightfall right now and _god_ the Daybloom/Nightshade stuff is painful. I can't really use Endoflame because 1.7.10 lacks a lot of the automation options we have today, and I don't have that much coal to burn anyway. Botania is a really cool mod but until you can get the good mana generation it is such an just an unfun _slog._
"Unless it changed you have to make new tools (basic types plus the rod) for each unlock." - Wait, that's _intended?!_ It's not that there's a bug and that what Dire was trying should've worked? What the hell, that's _terrible._ At the very least, the book should say something about that so people don't have the "What the what?!" reaction Dire quite reasonably had.
@@slartimus It definitely does’t encourage me to play with the mod at all. There are many other things that I can dump resources into for greater rewards. I can understand the mod author using enchanting mechanics which doesn’t let you enchant an enchanted item, but perhaps they need to consider allowing enchantments of the same type to stack. For instance, allowing you to put multiple applications of Power on a bow, up to the Minecraft maximum of five. It should also support using the grindstone to remove enchants so you can use the same tool over again for ones like Lumberjack which likely doesn’t have multiple levels.
Chainer DM only take 5 years if you never bother to invest into mana generation. it would be like playing thermal with 1 stirling engine and then complaining about how slow the RF generation is.
@@rocksfire4390 Even with 8 Endoflames and 4 mana pools with a mana splitter in the middle it still takes *FOREVER* to fill. I remember setting that up with automation about 2 days in and not having all 4 full by the 5th day. (Yes, it was chunk loaded too) It was so infuriating that I eventually started adding black lotus crafting recipes using 4 black petal blocks surrounding a diamond block.
I was hoping Dire would be able to explain what I was doing wrong. But it took him even longer than it took me to get to the same place. Hopefully he will come back next episode with good news.
Wow, this mod looks super half baked... Level up the infuser? Sure, make the same tool 50 times because infusions don't stack. No thank you. I miss dart craft.
@35:00 ..yeah .. you can make the most beautiful, useful and desire mod , but without a proper instructions, wikis, documentation .. its draw inutil, a waste of time and resources.
Dire used the forcecraft mod in 1.4.7 but back then it was called dartcraft. It had changed its name twice. Edit: he even did a mod review on this too.
@direwolf20 hey buddy. Wanted to let you know you should enhance armor full set with speed and the infuse to 5000 5k is its durability and increasing speed I There alot more stuff within it. And I was glad to see you use the redstone pen. Keep up the good work and cheers 🥂 BTW force Rod can disassemble force stuff just have to place the rod left of the item not to the right. Peace out man *i posted this on a older video by mistake I am not spaming lol*
It seems like you have to do the number of enchantments equal to the number of overall items to enchant. So sword, bow, and armor for all that can take that enchantment
Yes, the Force shears are funny. It rips the skin off the animals and turns them into "cold" versions of themselves. They will grow their skin back eventually.
Nope. Tried it. Doesn't work. Might be able at higher tiers, but getting the tiers is so wasteful I quit playing with the mod thinking I was doing something wrong.
After a while i decided to watch a episode from you again. but sad to see that you still stick to the same 9x9 building and the same layout as always. your way showing off new mods is always great i personally dispite your evolution as a minecraft youtuber you do the same stuff over and over again. i hope some day to see something new from you. and if you are not a builder at least get some blueprints out of the internet.
He did a pyramid a couple of times and a series where he had people upload ideas/plans for buildings using the copy-paste gadget. I'd like to see more of that with the copy-paste gadget and an end-goal area using several mods rather than a mod-based room/building.
