What happens if I forget the thoughts that come to me during meditation? What should I do with the thoughts that occur during meditation? In this episode of Radio Headspace, we learn three tips on how to manage our thoughts while meditating from Headspace Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Kessonga Giscombe. We’ll learn to accept that the thoughts that come up during meditation are natural, how to be aware of our expectations when it comes to meditating, and how to accept that we don’t have to remember the thoughts we think during meditation. By being present while meditating, we can pay attention to the reason why we’re meditating and give our thoughts space.

This has been my struggle as I approach my 1000th day of meditation. Indulging in the expectation of having those profound moments of growth during meditation and being dissatisfied when they don't manifest. I appreciate your words of wisdom Kessonga 😌

Ive had the problem as well and when that important thought pops up I was unable to continue with meditation. I now keep a pen and paper in my lap so i can write the important thing down and continue meditation. Ive gotten practiced enough that I don’t even have to open my eyes anymore.
