Between Star Trek TNG, Captain Planet, and Reading Rainbow, Levar had a substantial presence in my childhood. Good to know he feels good about being a part of this show. It is much-derided nowadays and it makes me glad that he was invested in it
Not only did I watch this awesome dude on Star Trek The Next Generation with my Dad when I was a kid, but he was in PBS on Reading Rainbow and then Saturdays was voicing Captain Planet. Both shows my sister and I watched. 👍 Great actor and does a lot for kids. 😎👍❤️
This why im love the 90`s and 80´s better cause the cartoons that day where it`s learne everybody and the kids for good things like all the other cartoons too like Bravestar He-Man Captain planet and Power Rangers. Every ending its telling about smart things what is good and what is bad. Now days cartoon is full of shits! :(
Oh wow. I knew he was passionate about things, and I've agreed with the things he's shown a passion for -- everything I've ever seen him do, from Reading Rainbow to Star Trek TNG to Captain Planet to Roots, has been about spreading a message, that there *is* hope for the world, that there *is* hope for the future. Thank you for posting this -- I hadn't put that all together before. It's almost like he's got a vocation like Mister Fred Rogers to bring hope to the world.
