Leveling your truck is a great way to improve the overall look of your Tacoma as well as to fit some larger tires under the front fenders. a lot of the leveling kits I've seen people do are spacer kits. and while they do work, you sacrifice your suspension travel limits, increase wear on other components, spring rates do not change, and more. Spacer kits are a good economical solution but can be limiting.
In my eyes doing the lift via using a proper shock is the way to go and sets you up for more adjustability in the future when needed. plus it's only another $150 more so why not just buy once, cry once.
