Lew inspired a GENERATION of Trumpet players. I think his contributions to Jazz (and Music in general) aren't likely to be accorded the recognition they deserve. Thanks for posting this. RIP, Mr. Soloff.

Lew was so talented, we were in High School together and he was good even then. It's too bad his life was cut short, but what a legacy!! Fred Spector
