You have no idea how much you just helped me by mentioning depersonalization and fear of it and being so positive. I’m asking my doctor for Lexapro tomorrow, that’s what brought me here. And I’ve been in hell the past few days with depersonalization. But my love for myself, life and the world, and my faith and center within myself are pushing me forward and I’ll be damned if I give up. Thank you!

So true. When you experience some of the worst anxiety/ depression it really puts things into perspective. It makes you realize how people become suicidal
I went from having a very high sex drive to having nearly none. I'm use to having that insane sex drive so it has me in the same routine mentally. But my body doesn't want it. So honestly it's great that it's gone nearly away. But I wish it was just suppressed instead of nearly cancelling out my sex drive. I take the one 10mg for 4 months now.
I love this video. I started taking Lexapro and then stopped because of the delayed sexual side effect. I felt like I couldn't shake this side effect. However, looking back, the medication worked, therefore, I want to start taking it again. My question is this: Does that side effect ever go away? Also, Aaron, when you said you take the split dose at 10 and at 5, does this mean 10am and 5pm?
Thank you, 2 weeks in I'm 21 and have completely lost my ability to stay hard or climax. It's giving me more anxiety thinking about it hahaha I wish this wasn't a side effect, I'm gonna try splitting my 10mg pills into halves and see if that helps. My girlfriend has a really high sex drive as well so not only do I feel bad for myself but I feel bad for her too... Thank you for the video :)
Hey man just found you and have been watching some of your videos. Love them keep it up! Question though: I recently switched from Effexor to Lexapro because I Effexor made me sweat like crazy and the problem is still here. Have you experienced anything like that? I'm on 10mg and the sweating is only on my face so not really helping me get out of the house.
That particular side effect i have not had. However i have heard of that before. I will say that some of the side effects i had from zoloft carried over with the lexapro then slowly tapered off as my body fully adjusted to the lexapro!
Honestly it took awhile. And when it came back it wasn't as strong as before the meds. Still good just different. If it becomes to much of a problem I believe there are some ways to adjust it with you doctor if need be
I want to be where you are on the journey. The anxiety is too much and the depression too! I am an actor. The finances got me down this time. I have had about 14 episodes of depression and anxiety. I really understand everything your saying. So I started Lexapro (Escitalopram) 7 days ago. And during the day when I have anxiety I take L-theanine from Vitamin shoppe, which cause no drowsiness. I take like 4 or 5. I know what you mean about everything flipping detail. I have two beautiful children. And just right now it’s hard to derive happiness. My husband feels the challenge of the depression and anxiety. And right I don’t feel sexual and it’s confusing for the marriage. I don’t like that feeling. My drive has always been high. My husband well not so much. So he finally is testosterone. So now that confusing. It makes me sad. I want my high libido back. Yes happy spouses. The negative thoughts are awful. I have been listening to affirmations. Praying. And prayerful Affirmations. Yes I was messing up my finances, really messed up. Anxiety is a teacher. I also have not been a successful actor because I need to put in more work. I just feel so sensitive right now that I can not jump in to the game at this point. Thank you so much for your talk. I have been doing 3 miles almost everyday on elliptical. Will it take a month for the medicine kick in? Thank you again.
While having sex before when your sex drive was low... did you ever have an intense feeling of fight or flight? This may not make sense, but it’s tough to explain.
Hey brother quick question. Everything its normalizing i dont feel the derealization or depersonalization somedays i do when i notice i eat like too much junk. But anyways i wanted to asked you how you deal with fatigue i always feel soo lazy lol.
Yess!! Thats exactly how it fades. Im glad you are having success. Man the fatigue is strong. However that also slowly fades. I just push thru it. Diet really effects anxiety.
