Launch WOT from a dig w/ 2.5” straight pipes no mufflers.
Lexus ISF 5.0 V8 fly bys and take off
At time of video stock headers w/ cats to 2.5” piping xforce catback w/ mufflers deleted only. Personally would not recommend. Whole interior and occupant teeth rattles/chattering without even having stiffer motor mounts or upgraded headers at this time
Note: Can anyone tell me what that "chirp" sound is from the front??? Is it a belt? Only happens at WOT/High throttle application.

its crazy how you don't see these in the streets much if at all. I've always liked them but they never really kicked off like Lexus was hoping. cant remember last I seen one. beast of a car

It's a understated beast, the last of Toyota/Lexus finest. USA I think had about under 5500 units so pretty rare too. Creator behind the ISF was behind the MK4 Supra. It's an excellent pretty obscure car

@@JJ-mh3hb Unless you care about reliability or cost. A used IS-F is cheaper than a similar year M3, performs almost exactly as well and doesn't guzzle rod bearings or ITB actuators

I thinking about getting one of these. It’s definitely a underdog car that isn’t as commonly talked about or known about and because the exterior isn’t as overdone like a M car would be to a lower model this car would be the perfect candidate to “Downbadge.” Making it even more of a sleeper. Since lots of people already don’t know that it exists or forgot about it.

250 badge with 250 rear bumper LOL super trollr. The super keen of eye would be able to tell the raised hood to fit the V8. Not sure if you could also do a stock non F fender/bumper. I think you'll love the ISF, the 08-10 are quite a lot cheaper and if I had to do it all over again I don't think the 11+ is worth that substantial amount over. 2010+ get the LSD though but you could always swap one.

@@AnotherMotorist it’s PROPER! sometimes I wish it was louder, but then I listen to drone lol. I think I’m good on that. The valve systems sound nasty but raspy when they are closed

Thanks!, they fit pretty good 18x9.5+40 on 265/35 tires. Not rolled fenders, I might rub slightly on the inside though I have not confirmed. -2 camber all around to ensure clearance under hard cornering. I do plan to go slightly more aggressive and I might need to roll the fenders at least in the rear. Part 2 launch has current exhaust set up and ride height.

I did a good amount of research concluded and confirmed that my updated ride height under max cornering loads does not seem to rub against the stock unrolled fenders at all. I visualized -2 camber would do it and it did, it's towards aggressive but conservative enough to not blast away your tire life on street. I do not have the most aggressive height/set up but it's very good and I am not racing for podiums/money or anything, and I have my s2000 if I want pure track day utilization. You can see updated ride height in newer videos. Some of the track heads are running 295 all around lol but people have been very competitive on 265 squared. cheers tamon and pumba.

Yes sir. Read up about a few months before pulling the trigger on these. Some of my other videos show current ride height. I have RRRacing coilovers, motor mounts, lower control arm bushing, and SPC front/rear camber arms. get some, imo downsizing to most multispoke 18" wheels really suit the 2IS body.

Is this an actual shop straight pipe (idk how to word it😂) or did you buy midpipes and axleback? I have secondary cats and resonator delete with revel axleback but I’m thinking about removing axleback and making it straight pipe

It's a x force cat back that I had a shop delete the rear mufflers and replace the center resonator with a spintech muffler. Prepare for drone city if you delete your rear mufflers lol

@@swag230 actually at the time of this video is stock headers with the stock cats and no mufflers. Eventually I had headers with 2 high flow cats and the spintech muffleri n the middle.

I feel it. though preferential. I'll tell you why I downsized and may or may not help my case. I think the OEM 19s on thin tires made it look too toy like and not my style. Downsized to wider wheels all around to fit a squared tire set up for spirited driving/track use, easy tire rotations, and gave it a more stout look after lowering.

Imo the best modern V8 engine. Sure there are MercedesAMG/BMW V8's that rev higher and crank out more power, Ferrari V8's that rev MUCH higher and sing better than any pop star can dream of, American V8's with a deep bass rumble and stump pulling torque, but when you get a fairly high revving V8 that sounds that good AND also has rock solid reliability of being a Lexus creation you can easily daily or road trip, does it really get any better? As I type this in 2023, all of the V8's I mentioned (and others) will stand alone in history and never be topped. Within 40 years or so we may completely lose the ability to design and build such an engine from a clean sheet of paper without reverse engineering...sort of how we lost the ability to recreate the Saturn V rocket boosters that propelled the moon landing missions. Think about that. Yes, makes me sad as well.

Si, correcto! Seems like final chances to enjoy the V8s, though hopefully not. Get them while prices are not totally insane yet. The German V8s are more finicky but will serve just as long if not longer but that toy/lex V8s will last forever while having cheaper cost of ownership!
